better option is logitech s520 for ~20 pound @currys/pcworld (clearance)... and with voucher from 15milliongiveaway (take gift catalogue from store, use code at the back of this catalogue on 15milliongiveaway.co.uk and you will have at least 5 pound off). will be even cheaper

Today I bought this logitech s520 for 15 pound! (Plymouth, 5 left). Dunno if its nationwide.

Apparently the reception on that model is not great and their are some issues with it's compatability with windows 7. It also has some build quality issues

No issues under Win7 so far, no problem with installation, great reviews on amazon, laser mouse. Hope you are wrong :)

Not sure it's worth the train fare from London to Plymouth but thanks all the same

Thanks, have ordered... have the ex100 set at the moment but only using the keyboard as the mouse doesn't always track well, so thought I'd try these as they seem to get good reviews about signal getting thorugh, plus bonus that it's a dongle rather than this horrible lead thing that I am using at the moment that keeps falling off the desktop.

Mine arrived today, I am well pleased with it, just plug and play...Simples.

Got mine yesterday and tested out since then... can confirm that signal is excellent, am typing this from approx 5/6 feet away from the receiver and hasn't missed one letter, much better than my ex100 set I had before. The on/off buttons on both the mouse and keyboard are a godsend, means I can turn them off when I think I might accidentally operate them (eg while watching TV) and waste the battery life.... as soon as you switch them back on they are ready to go, no wait for connection or anything, very pleased with them so far :)

Fair enough decent deal on price/product but just a note about Logitech wireless KB/M...we've had loads at work but they go through batteries like crazy...I'm not sure if these ones have been improved...but I'd recommend to go with Microsoft kit as they're much better on batteries...my home set up lasts for months......thought I'd give a heads up!

I will let you know how this one goes. My previous logitech mouse lasted for roughly 6 months (using Duracell batteries) and I never switched it off, which I think is pretty good. That mouse was perfect for me, but my OH spilt something into it and it got damaged. I couldn't find it online either, but this one looks like a good replacement.

Reviews on this model say that battery life is very good.
