Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400

For across-the-room control of your laptop—even when it's connected to your TV

Say goodbye to hunching over your laptop and constantly getting up to navigate on your TV-connected laptop. Whether you’re IMing on your small screen or surfing the Web on your big screen, you can lean back and enjoy convenient typing and multi-touch navigation right from your couch. Whichever screen you’re using, this sleek wireless keyboard is designed for the way you use your laptop today.

Long-range wireless control

You can control your TV-connected laptop from across the room without leaving the couch thanks to the Logitech Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless connection with a 10 metre range. The reliable wireless virtually eliminates delays, dropouts and interference.

Built-in multi-touch touchpad

There's no need for a separate mouse. The large 9-cm (3.5-inch) touchpad makes vertical and horizontal scrolling intuitive. It's easier than ever to point and scroll your way through the web thanks to multi-touch navigation. Convenient left and right click buttons.

Plug-and-play simplicity

No cords, software or hassles. Just plug the Logitech Unifying wireless receiver into your USB port and you’re ready to start surfing, blogging and chatting. You can easily add a compatible wireless mouse, keyboard or number pad—without the hassle of multiple USB receivers.

Comfortable, quiet typing

The low-profile keys are whisper-quiet and have easy-to-read bold, bright-white characters. Volume, mute, pause and other hot keys let you easily control your entertainment. The sleek, compact design feels just right on your lap.

12-month battery life**

You'll go for a full year without changing batteries. An on-off switch helps you save power when you're not using the keyboard.

* Wireless range may vary due to environmental and computing conditions.

** Keyboard battery life calculation based on an estimated two million keystrokes/year in an office environment. User experience may vary.

In my basket, but it seems from reviews they're now sending the revised version (k400r) which doesn't play nice with Android.

These are great - we use one in our lounge to control the laptop connected to the TV through HDMI. Brilliant price :)

Was considering the recent deal, gone for it at this price.
#11
Thanks, these are great with HTPC.

Dropped it from basket. Will get one with a pure BT interface as I want to use it cleanly with Android and the Win8 "enhancement" they've made (you'll actually get the revised K400R) causes driver issues.

This is good for media PC type use, good price (although overprices to begin with as with most Logitech unlike e.g. Anker) You'll probably find it's too flimsy to be a permanent, regular solution however.

How do you get on the wait list?

Just go to the deal and on the right change the option from "buy new" to "lightening deal" and it should pop up below the lightening deal text with an option to be added to the waitlist. Seems very hit and miss though, I believe you only get one if someone else cancels or fails to complete checkout and on good deals like this I imagine most people wont faff around with it in their basket.

That said, I got Starcraft 2 the other day on lightening deal from joining waitlist (even though it said I had a poor chance) but I think it's more luck than anything. A shame as this keyboard would be great for my HTPC. :(

i think alot of people put things in their basket, whether they want them or not, then they got 15mins to decide, and once they realise they can't make anything out of it =p it goes to people on the wait list.

how do you know what chance you have?
all it says to me is
"You are on the waitlist for this deal" in green

Over 2 hours on the wait list and never even got a chance at it, total waste of time :( seems to be way more expensive everywhere else too, even eBay is more expensive, hate missing a bargain....

Yeah but how much would they want to ship to the UK? and do you need to create a separate account? as I can't seem to get it to recognise my UK log in details.

I'm not gonna bother, it's 24 euro (before shipping), which is approx £19 so not as good as last nights and there is the issue of german keyboard layout and shipping, not worth the hassle for me personally, think I'll just wait till it's back on sale in the UK.
