Manufacturer's Description
Crank up the audio on your PC with this 2.1 speaker system and enjoy clean, crisp, consistent sound from your games, music, and more. The Logitech X-230's high-tech subwoofer adjusts itself dynamically to deliver distortion-free bass. And the two wall-mountable satellite speakers use Logitech's patented FDD2 technology to eliminate the uneven sound response created by conventional dual-driver designs. The result: a clear, uniform sound field without the "hot spots" and inconsistency of other dual-driver satellites.

Rayman clicked on link at the site says the item is £46.38... Am I being stupid or missing something??
#3
£46.38 when I look at it.
#4
Link is to the wrong one I think. Seems to go to X-530 speakers

Just got these speakers today.

Having a slight problem with them. When I put the subwoofer next to my monitor, its makes the montior change clour, as in the top left and top right on the monitors screen turns a different colour, a mix of colours. This is happening even when the speakers arent even plugged in.

Anyone know what the problem is and how it can be solved?

There is a magnet in the unit - this should not be put anywhere near your monitor as it can lead to permanent damage...

Looks like sub isn't properly magnetically shielded. Solution - put it under your desk and use Degauss button (or menu) if your monitor is CRT.

over time it will damage ur CRT keep them well away! It killed my network switch after leaving it on to for a few weeks!
#17
Subs are designed for under the desk anyway (well towards the ground, not up on the desk by your face). It creates a very powerful sound, and as a result, wind also that will blow all over you lol.
#18
Subs work best with their back to the wall and even better in a corner.

Subs... every neighbour's worst nightmare come true :) (Oh to live in a detached house).

As others say about the subwoofer, that's where they sound their best, under the desk and if you have a "cubby hole" space for your computer, you'll benefit the most. But if you want surround sound, then the x530's are for you :)

I didn't realise the subwoofer wasn't magnetically shielded on these, bit of a shame but not so bad if it's away from anything it might affect...
