As a direct replacement to the bestselling Logitech X-230 System, the stow-away MP3 cradle makes the Logitech X-240 speakers more than just a great speaker system for your computer. Connect your digital audio player with the included auxiliary cable, or use your own USB/power cable to sync, charge and play digital music from your iPod, Zune, PDA or mobile phone. Dynamic, real-time bass equalization maximizes bass response from the down-firing subwoofer while high-excursion drivers provide rich sound from the slim, stylish satellites.

I recently got the x230's - and they were way too overated. Way too boomy and an uncontrolled base.

I think most people are unaware what decent sound quality is anymore.

I don't know what you paid for yours but these are £19.99! loads of people know about decent sound quality, but I don't think anyone can expect top quality sound to come at this price.

I had (i think) X-210s and they cost this and were impressive - so this is hot too.

It was the Logictech X-series that was the best buy in PC Pro for a 2+1 system.

Not so great review here:

The 'dock' looks dodgy, you have to just balance your iPod/Zune/Zen on a little pull-out draw and plug in a cable into your headphone socket making it no different to what I do now (swap the speaker cable between my PC + iPod)

cant comment on the cradle but i got some X230s around xmas time and they have been excellent for the money.

But that's what the kids want nowadays, grandad. The x230s are perfect for checking out my Dubstep downloads before transferring them downstairs to listen to on my proper equipment.
