good deal!

I've got the 2.1 version of these speakers for my pc and they are great for the price!

the 5.1 system is very tempting for the living room........ hmmmm this site keeps making me spend money!!! LOL

Excuse my ignorance. Can these be used via a dvd player in the living room or do they need to plug into a PC ? Sorry for being so dumb !!!
#10
just a note of caution, the bass on this thing is ridiculous and you can't turn it down (enough).
#11
i think i read the same warning before I got mine and thought something along the lines of "how can you have too much bass!", you can't listen to it above tv volume without people complaining.

If your DVD player is 5.1 compatible, then yes it should be fine :)

^
^So would you recommend it to anyone thats thinking of buying it?

Oh btw, will this system be able to work with a Nintendo Gamecube?
#14
The Gamecube doesnt have full 5.1 surround, but you can still use it with its virtual surround.

As i said above I have the 2.1 system and its great (dont think there is too much bass on mine, although i do have it set to the low level cause it is too strong half way up)

Think i'll be getting this as well...... cheers HDUK and poster :)

What's the best budget option with DTS and a remote? Btw, great deal on this item - just not quite right for my living room :(

A word of caution on compatability - I may be mistaken but I don't think this has an optical input. If your DVD player has an optical output for its 5.1 sound (as my XBox does) this may not work.
