Great speakers, though not necessarily a brilliant deal as they've been this price for years
#4
Good bargain deal, but if you have enough budget get a Z-5500 instead, you won't regret!

Haven't seen it posted on here for a while (and not at £44.99), so decided to do so.

The last post I found was made about 3 months ago for £48.50:

Very nice speakers, bought them for £37 from Amazon a few years ago.

The sound quality was no better than the Creative 2.1 I already had though and the rear speakers had very very short leads as well.

Absolutely agree mate - My mate has the Z-5500 and they kick ass for sure!

Cheapest Logitech Z 5500 is £230 @ Dabs. Bit too much of a difference in price for me. Tempted by these though.
#9
not the best deal, the x540 was this price few weeks ago, slightly beeter speakes, or newer at least,

Got these about 4-years ago to use with my HTPC, can't fault them. Very good sound quality considering the price and they look good. Got my rears wall mounted and fronts alongside the TV, works pretty well.

Very bass-heavy (even with the sub on minimum), and they pick up radio broadcasts when the volume's low. Alright, but hardly hi-fi.

Z-5500 was 199 last week @ Amazon..now price increased to 239 :S

To compare them to the z5500 is pretty laughable. They are good value speakers for the price. The deal is average as they have been posted as cheaper than this, os its nothing special.

It's amazing how much the z-5500s fluctuate in price. A friend of mine wanted them and over about 3 months the cheapest was about £170 and the most expensive £250

Does this have an optical input?

Does this have an optical input?

Don't think so. Think they just have analouge connections.

Ive got the 2.1 version of these and they are really nice speakers for the money. Decided against this set though for the z-5500, best decision I ever made. Picked up a second hand set that was immaculate for £127. Lovely.

A lot of people are saying that the deal isn't much good because they used to be cheaper a few weeks or so ago - I guess you guys are right cos of all the comments,
But if you can find me them cheaper NOW then please do post the link here - or indeed as your own post.

I would be interested in buying them at a lower price - which dose not require a method of time-travel to take advantage of it ;)

Haven't seen them cheaper than this for a good few months. Decent price for a decent set of speakers. Suit most peoples needs fine.

X-540 can convert 2 channel to 5.1, has this one got same feature?

Hi, Can I ask what you have got? I have a pair of Z-10s and find that they are 'flabby' on the bass (there's no sub) when playing music through the pc. Are yours better?

This doesn't has optical input, as it doesn't has built-in decoder, so analog is the only choice. Make sure you have a good sound card =)

btw, Logitech just launches a new speak
