These are at least £10 cheaper than anywere else that I can find ,possibly because they are marked up as a 2.1 speaker system on the web site.
Same price on the shelf in the store.

Been posted not long ago,
bought a set on the dell offer,
remote is wired...!!
sound is very good for the money.
#6
Has proper connections too from what I can tell, none of the integrated rubbish on the lower spec logitechs
#7
Did try the Dell site ,but they had gone back up to they were costing £53.84.
#8
not keen on a wired remote, shame,
#9
they sound okish, but good for the money and more than good enough for a pc...if you need longer phono cables for the rear speakers (cable is hardwired into back of speaker), try maplins (1m, 2m, 5m, 10m) or ebay

£18.53 from the electronic corp. Cant see delivery charge.

The spec appears to indicate this is only 2.1 with emulated surround sound, not 5.1, but I'm no expert. I was trying to find if it had an optical input.

The images don't show a cable for the handset, and the spec says remote, which means not connected.
Would be a nice buy if it is 5.1 and does have a optical (toslink) connection.
If anyone finds a better spec please post a link.

Top speakers, got these connected to my Fatal1ty Pro, centre speaker sits on top of tft, loads of bass nice and clear. Wired remote with headphone socket which is handy and plenty of inputs.

It doesn't have an optical input, and has the 3 (center/front/rear) 3.5mm jacks to plug into your soundcard, and 5 separate RCA leads for each speaker.

Good speakers I have them, the remote is wired to the sub which I prefer seeing as I wont lose it :P

Damn it ive just ordered these from Amazon due to be dispatched. Can i refuse delivery? Do i have to pay to return to Amazon does anyone know?
#18
how can you hook these up to the xbox, as the sound on my tele goes up and down on occasions
#19
what can i connect with this speaker system?

could i connect both my PC & XBOX 360 to this?

anyone got a picture of the rear connectors?
#20
Would this be any good for use with my PS3? The speakers on the TV are awful, and i'm looking for something cheap to improve the sound. My PS3 is currently plugged into the HDMI slot on the telly, where would these speakers plug into?

Thanks for the head's up on theelectronicscorp.com. Not gonna go for this system as the spec is misleading. It says remote but has a wired controller! If it doesn't have a toslink so how do you feed 5.1 systems (Xbox, Sky etc. etc.) into it! and unless you have a particular type of soundcard with the appropriate outputs it not gonna work. Thats my opinion and as I said before I'm not an expert.

Can recommend these. Bought 2 months ago for £50 from Amazon.

i thought i would let you know the peterborough branch has an extra £5 off on a set of customer returned (wrong product)

Someone messaged me to ask about my set-up, so I'm reposting my reply here...

I have a Toshiba Regza XV503DB. The way I've got it set up is that my Xbox 360 is outputting sound (probably Dolby ProLogic stereo) over HDMI into the TV, and then the TV has a pass-through stereo output which is connected to the main input of the speakers. If I have Matrix mode switched off on the speakers, I just get stereo, but switched on I get virtual surround sound (so if I watch a film like War of The Worlds, with different sound against the front and rear speakers, that comes through perfectly).
If the signal coming through isn't even a Dolby Pro Logic signal, then the sound will still come out of multiple speakers, but just not as a 3D sound...
