Anyone know if this could be used ith an AV reciever to be hooked up to my TV and PS3 and Sky HD?
#5
The connectors will be 3.5mm jacks - one for FL/FR, one for RL/RR and one for centre/subwoofer, so if you can get a load of adapters and splitters to split that out into RCA connectors, it should work fine. The adapters will not cost you much mail order, and maplin or radio shack will stock them.

Ok, I currently have this system : http://www.amazon.co.uk/LandSound-Home-Theatre-Surround-Speakers/dp/B0012NKS1U

How can I hook this up to a TV you can see sockets on back of picture or PS3 or Sky HD?

Is there anyway to do it?

Would I need a reciever or is there an adapter?

Great set of speakers....I got it for ~$50(~25gbp) 6 mths back when I was in Canada. Set up a voltage converter (borrowed) and great sound.

I've got two sets of these... These are okay for entry-level speakers and general gaming but they dont deliver much in the way of audio quality. Good starter set though

The one you posted link on Amazon to has 6 stardard RCA connectors - one for each speaker. All you need to do is plug in audio input for each speaker, which means 6 RCA audio outputs from TV/SKY/PS3, or 3 regular 2.5mm jack outputs. There is an option for just two RCA inputs - this might emulate sound to all 6 speakers or may be only 3 will work (2 front and center) - you have to give it a try.

What kind of output connectors do you have on TV/SKY/PS3? You might have to manage with only 2 RCA input on the top.

Err..

Who on earth are Purelyplay? :?

I got these and there great.

Considering getting this from the Purely Play deal that badboy07 found, but I've never heard of them before. Are they reputable? I noticed the 'https' in the address bar which is a good sign, right?

Got these from Comet for £40 a few weeks ago, stunning speakers - just fantastic.
#20
It's a shame I missed that offer, but given your praise for these speakers I think I will go for it anyway for £5 more on Purely Play. I also saw it got 5 stars on Amazon.co.uk.

One further thing, will I be able to connect these up to a new (2009) Panasonic Plasma?

If the TV has an 3.5mm input then yes, well if you plug the speakers into another peripheral linking to the TV such as a DVD player and that has 3.5mm then that'll work too.

Does it have digital DTs?
I am looking for a cheap set of DTS speakers
