Great 2.1 Speakers. Probably the best one on the market in this price range.
I've them plugged to my dvd player and they sound awesome...

At this price they're an absolute bargain :)

* update: price has now gone up to £23.99 :(

but still a good deal to me...

p.s. this is my first post. sorry if there's anything wrong with it...

have these for my pc, cracking price. I think they were in the £30 range when I got them.
#2
Same here! Well worth the money

I had a set of these before space considerations forced me to change to Creatives. The Creative speakers are good but these sounded better.
A top buy at the price above !
#4
I paid around £35 for them two years ago...
never had a problem with them! :-D

Kids have these one their pc. Great speakers and the added benefit for me that you can wall mount them.

Voted hot :-)

had these for about 4 years now and never had a problem, absolutely awesome speakers!
#8
Excellent price, nearly bought these earlier for £24.

Thanks for the deal!
#9
i had these . not the best looking speakers in the world but the sound more than makes up for it. such a small price for the sound quality .

HOT!

Had some of these for my PC and was looking for some for the TV in the front room. Great price.
#11
Are they very 'bassy' sounding speakers? My lcd tv sounds sounds a bit 'tinny' to me even after editing the settings etc - would these give good sound play back for movies etc??

these are very bassy - thats a good and bad thing really

will sound excellent compared to your tv speakers, and great for movies.

Awesome speakers,very cheap price.

Paid over double for mine :x

Some of the best 2.1 speakers ever conceived!

I paid £30 a couple of months ago and am absolutely not bitter about this deal in the slightest (and usually price drops after my own purchase rile me right up) simply because the quality these things produce is second to none.

@Person asking about bass, hell yes, these produce a great amount of bass, but not enough to drown out the mid range / treble. You can adjust the sub output on the back of the sub manually too, to add or remove bass output.

Don't even think about it, if they're still available purchase them now.
#16
well i just paid £24 for set of these on tuesday from comet! so good price me thinks. speakers are very very good for the price sub is very good too. I have two other systems one is sony DDW880 and the other is another set of logitech THX 5.1's so i like my base and clarity. For cheap pc speakers i was shocked how good these are! no brainer at this price and you want some pc speakers.:)

Why is this marked as expired? Just bought these for a total of £20.86.
#18
Don't know whether to go for these or the Hercules XPS 2.1 40 Speakers @ £19.99

The hercules ones just look a little sleeker, and I would say better spec, but I can't find detailed specs even on the Hercules website
#19
Why is this marked as expired?! :x

Anyone knows how to unexpire a deal?

If you add to basket the price is now £22.49 not £16.87...so technically expired but still pretty good

Cheers for the clarification...
Even if last night the lower price was still available, but someone decided to expire it anyway :?

How can you attach these to an LCD TV?

I would like to hook up with LG M227WD as sound is a bit shallow on small internal speakers

http://uk.lge.com/products/model/detail/multifunctionmonitor_m227wd.jhtml

There is a headphone socket on the side but this is not ideal to use.
#23
If ur TV has got an RCA audio output you can connec the speaker using the adapter included.

Otherwise you can buy a cheap SCART adapter like the one in the pic http://media.uxcell.com/uxcell/images/item/catalog/ux_a09010600ux0032_ux_c.jpg ;-)

Can you plug these into the xbox???

You'd be better off connecting directly to your source, otherwise the headphone out should work if it doesn't have any other sort of audio out.

Oh and thanks for the offer, bought these myself.

I think it may have S/PDIF (optical digital out) ???
#27
Glad I ordered last night now :)

The title needs changing to reflect the changed price btw

Actually this adapter is already included in the box... or at least it was when I bought these speakers a while ago:roll:

even better deal then !

cheaper at comet if you pick it up in store..
#33
Delivered yesterday...sound great and look nicer than i thought they would. The headphone socket is a little stiff, but at the price you can't complain...would rarely use it anyway.

I can also confirm that the RCA / 3.5mm adapter IS included
#34
I bought 2 pairs as my parents LCD has awful sound, and I needed a new set anyway.
Ended up having to go into the TV's equaliser and turning the bass down, as the control doesn't lower it very much at all (in fact I leave it at it's lowest as it sounds perfect like that).

Mid and highs are still clean and crisp at high volume.

Without a doubt the best value for money speakers you can buy.
