BEFORE VOTING COLD - please provide a link to a cheaper in stock deal.....
PC World have recently added ebuyer.com to their list of companies they'll pricematch - plus beat that price by 10% of the difference..... so........ the INSTORE price of these speakers is £99.99 - this is the price you operate off. (The "web exclusive" price is £64.99 - DON'T use this as the original price you want them to drop down to ebuyers price as this will make the final discount less)..... Ebuyer have them in stock and advertised @ £59.77 delivered. I took a set of the £99.99 ones off the shelf in PC World and asked the guy at the till to apply their pricematch 10% off the difference - which he did without quibble one he'd checked and confirmed the online price @ ebuyer. So the price went from on the shelf @ £99.99, priced matched @ £59.77 - then an additional discount of £4.55 to take the purchase price down to a bargain grabbing £55.22.

Reviews are favourable - ideally suited to those who don't want a stand alone sub-woofer.......

there good speakers, the touch buttons are quite cool
Great price, cheapest I've seen them by £10.
Seem nice, but they are USB, and that explains why they are comparatively so expensive. Ideal for a laptop, when used as a desktop, but there is a lot more choice of cheaper options for a desktop which odds-on will already have it's own more configurable sound capabilities inside, up to 5.1 or 7.1 configuration, all this type need is amplified speakers, so they are cheaper for the same sort of power, or if not, at least there is more choice, such as 2.0, 2.1, 5.1 or 7.1 systems!
I am using USB 2.1 speakers at the moment, as that's what I was using when I had laptop as a desktop replacement, but it's not what I would be buying if I was needing to replace them.
I was going to try this, but the Ebuyer price has now gone up to £85.06!

Shame, this looked a very good deal.
