Do you suffer a lot with that itch Andy?
#5
I've got these.

The "Touch Control" can be a bit fiddly but apart from that at £40 they are a billy bargain.
#6
How do these compare to the Creative T20s?
#7
Does anyone know the standby power consumption ? ie. does it power down to < 1w

I ask because the PSU is built in to the speaker and the power button is touch sensitive meaning it will have to provide constant power for that button to work.

* do the drivers work with windows 7 x64 ?

Not sure but I get round this by using a power saving "thingy", when my PC powers down all my peripherals have their power turned off. Power comes on again when I turn PC on.

Thanks, can you remember if the speaker with the PSU in it stays warm when the speakers are plugged in but on standby?

* One last question :) - do you have to select the Z10 as the default output device instead of the sound card ? - I have my speakers and headphones plugged in to my sound card so switching output devices would lose sound to my headphones unless I kept switching the back to my sound card.

Can't find the product when I navigate from quidco :(

Shame that 15% off speakers voucher doesn't work either. Can't see why not though

This is not usb powered as far as I know , it has a separate plug.
Maybe someone more technical can do it with the usb but I bought a plantronic switcher for this and had to use the jack to connect to PC , I believe the usb takes priority and coulden't find a way around it.

I couldn't find it either, the way I got it to track on Quidco was to open the Logitech site from quidco, shut down the browser, then click on HDUK link and add the speakers into the cart. Shut down the browser again, and reopen it through Quidco, the speakers are in the cart and when you buy them it tracks on Quidco.

Think they are Germany based so wouldn't worry
#19
btw i got 3.62 cashback from TCB as well~~
#20
Absolute bargain at £36.37 after TCB. Cheapest elsewhere is around £90. All the reviews say the sound is amazing, expecting delivery soon.

Thanks, just ordered a pair for a Christmas present.

Was wondering if there are any speakers like this but with 2 aux in ports. dont really want to buy an avr and using a stereo/rca splitter wont work (interference)

I have t20s and my mate has z10s...as far as i can tell they about the same, z10s maybe slightly better sound (and have a screen), t20s are smaller though...both really good.
#24
Can i connect these to my TV and they will work?

Thanks x
#25
If any one has these could they clear something up for me please, do these require external power? Each review i read seems to conflict, some say externally powered & others not..

Thanks

Spot on, cheers OP. Just ordered myself a pair for my laptop. I love this line on the ordering page:

We'd like to keep you informed via email about product updates, upgrades, special offers and pricing. If you do not wish to be contacted via email, please ensure that the box is not checked.

How sly can they be?!?

Drivers work fine in Win 7 64-bit. The screen drivers are exactly the same as G15 keyboards. This also means you can use all the apps.

Just checked and mine do not appear to be warm in stand-by. I agree they must use some level of power due to touch screen activation.

Mine are set for default output, when I use my headset it only takes four clicks to swap:
Right click on speaker in bottom corner > playback devices

External. One of the speakers has a power lead, however there is no power block.
They are quite impressively powerful and would not run off USB power.

How good are these?? i have the Logitech X-230 with the sub....are they better than theses??

I use mine to display:
FRAPS graphs and frame rate
Monitor temps, CPU and RAM usage (especially whilst overclocking)
Read RSS feeds during load screens whilst playing games
Show track names for iTunes

You could also monitor POP3 email and program G-series keyboard profiles.

They do not officially support OS X, but if you install the drivers for the G110 keyboard you can get screen functionality (sound worked out of the box).

Have a look at the Amazon reviews - seem very positive and remember these reviews are for a £100 speaker pair not £40.

Difficult to say, I doubt many people have owned both. I like the Z-10's as they produce a nice rich sound without the boom you normally experience from the subwoofer on 2.1 speaker packages. The two main speakers are likely to produce higher quality sound than the satellites on the X-230's but it will be down to personal preference.

I originally purchased these speakers for day-to-day general PC use and intended to use my receiver and KEF 5.1 setup for gaming and media. However I was very surprised by the quality and rarely switch to using my full hi-fi setup.

Had two items shipped directly from Logitech via UPS. Vaguely recall tracking their detailed progress across Europe until they arrived in the UK.
I'm sure they'll arrive tomorrow :)
