This just seems to good to be true - does anyone know anything about Thai Airways? Are they about to go bankrupt or do their planes always fall into the sea or something?

Thai have been in financial trouble for a while. I have a few friends who work with them who are trying to move to other companies.Although unlikely to go bust anytime soon, having flown with them I was not impressed. Staff sleeping in empty seats at the back of the plane, orange juice watered down, seat broken, late departures etc ......

They have the A380 on some routes and I was pleased overall with my experience. its the national carrier for Thailand and poor financial management which not unusal in the world of aviation!

To be held by Kiwis. All you need is to hide an apple and a bananas. If you want to look her up scatter some orange seeds in her luggage

Managed an incredible £415 after 2 hours of searching via skyscanner, choosing ebookers, stopping on way out for 2 nights in BKK. Expedia prices didn't exist (sharp practice if you ask me) and opodo kept on increasing the flight during the booking process and then wanted extra for a credit card payment. Thanks kris1234.

Excellent deal this and Thai Airways too. The challenge for me is *not* the airline but the agents offering these fares - I've never heard of any of them and so have no idea whether they are "reliable"!!

Would have booked directly on the Thai Airlines site but exactly the same flights are priced at 250% of this deal at £929 per person as opposed to £374 via agents for the exact same dates and flights.

Anyone care to share any thoughts please on how to get the TA site to cough up the same pricing?

Hmmm think am too late at the party, 3wk flights show approx 400 on kayak but when i click through the tickets are no longer available at this price and have gone up 250-300 quid.

You snooze, you lose :-(
#33
Still working. Book on Thai website. They won't charge you credit card fee. Sample. Lhr-bkk 17mar, bkk-auc 24 mar, auc-bkk 28 mar. All for £406

Same dates with travel agent min £427 + about £16 card fee.

Shame, I'm looking to fly out from around 16th dec +/- a few days and return in Jan (for the other half) and march for me. Couldn't find anything near that price. :(
#37
travelled with Thai Airways a few times and they were always spot on....usual Thai hospitality and top class service and care...brilliant airline.

@thebuzzer - thanks for the tip, will have a look see what TT come up with and report back.

Update - TT don't seem to do multi-leg or do I need to get my eyes tested??8)

Probably because all Australians go home for xmas and New Year and have already booked the seats - busiest time of year to fly to Australia.

True, but I want to go to New Zealand :) Similar deal I suppose.

Best I can find is £1100 which still isn't bad if I include a few days layover in Bangkok
