Just booked some flights to Bali for next week for a snip at £349, so thought I'd share it.

Flights are with Garuda and you may be surprised to find that they are consistently now voted one of the best economy class airlines. Good seat pitch and service.

Flight times are excellent (some of the shortest to get to Bali) with short layovers and one stop in Jakarta/Singapore. I only checked for November, and have provided a link to an example set of dates.

More spam - why is this allowed? The language gives it away immediately - who would describe £349 as a snip?

I went to Bali on the way back from Oz a few years ago. I was deeply disappointed to understate the obvious. It was IMHO a worn out sh**thole were you were continually offered drugs. Alternatively if you refused young virgin girls you were offered boys.

After 2 days of a 14 days holiday I had had enough.

My advice go somewhere else like the Maldives.

Bali is a cheap and popular holiday for Australians only expecting what we expect from a trip to Spain - Cheap & cheerful with a chance of getting boozed and laid..

There's more to Bali than Kuta.

They clearly didn't travel anywhere out of Kuta.

Was in Bali a few weeks ago, absolutely loved it. Avoid Kuta/Legian and its one of the most beautiful places on the planet. If these are still goin next autumn, I'm definitely up for going back!

Because it's considerably cheaper than normal price to head to the Far East - it's great heat added.

Far East, and then some. Bali's nearly 2,000 miles SE of Bangkok.

Hence why £349 is a steal.

The money changers in Kuta are dreadful, think they are used to dealing with drunk Aussies and think they can take what they like. The monkeys at Uluwatu temple are the same..
Once you get out of Kuta its fine, cheap art to had in Ubud.

What a stupid comment about Bali. Kuta is awful but Ubud and Ghili Islands are pure bliss. Spent two weeks there and loved it. Ignore the troll.

Just don't fly internally on the various Indonesian airlines - rated worst in the world for safety

Garuda meets European safety standards, because errr it flys to Europe.

As for other Indonesian Airlines, there record may not be great but your still 1000 times more likely to die in a road traffic accident to/from the airport.

Don't let it stress you out too much or you'd never step outside the door.

I did say internally - see airlines mentioned in that article. Garuda has been banned from Europe in the past after several crashes - the ban was lifted in 2009.
Airlines with a high accident rate generally have so due to poor maintenance and pilot training.
I would personally fly most airlines - I've flew Air Koryo from Beijing to Pyongyang (North Korea) 3 years ago in a 1960s Tupolev - that was a scary flight, it struggled to take off!

Totally agree there is loads to do in Bali and the surrounding Islands most of it non touristy. This deal is over 15,400 miles of travel from London to Denpassar Bali return.
for only £349 its very cheap heat added!!!8)
