I don't normally feel the need to tell others about the books I read, but this book kept me up till very late and it was an interesting and strange experience. This coming of age/historic fiction set in the last few years of Yugoslavia and in the 90's London, features plenty of humour, history and weird s.xual moments. For 99p looks like a bargain. I'll post a review that got me hooked on reading this in the comment box.

Was it

The book title is probably causing discontent, but the reviews sound OK. I suspect many down voted this without looking further, I almost did myself.

Was free on July 7th, so may be worth waiting to see if the price falls to zero again.

This book is amazing but I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea. No fantasy...

The title of the book is off putting but the reviews seem pretty good. Shame it's not in paperback as I'd buy it to read.

It's almost like human beings are not all the same or something!

Interesting. What originally attracted me to this book was its title. How do you read it; positive/negative/offensive?

The title sounded a bit like a UKIPer's rant to me when I first saw it.

Nothing like that, once you read a book, the title makes perfect sense

If you function that way, probably you will...I hate to think how many Tesco's employees you sucked in order to figure out how self-checkout system works.

Actually not, it was an official onlinebookclub review but I couldn't post the link
