thats a great price, are kuwait good to fly with? I'm doubting the free alcohol will be flowing!

Awesome deal
#4
Shame....I have just booked with Virgin.
Thanks anyway for deal.
Heat added.

Ah valid from the same day I start my new Uni course, despressing!

This is £330 with Air France, £360 with both Virgin and BA.

Kuwait Airways are a 3* airline compared to your typical 4* airlines above.

Had a couple friends who have been with them before and say that they were poor compared to BA / Virgin but you would expect that. Narrow seats, Some entertainment systems not functioning properly, average food and service and old looking planes.

However if you are on a tight budget and the flight doesn't really bother you then its a bargain.

If you are a person who likes a relaxing enjoyable flight in comfort with top service then pay the extra for Virgin or BA.

I've flown with Kuwait before to New York and the planes are a bit tired looking but there was no less space than flights with BA, AA or Continental. The staff were generally more professional and friendly than the other three too!

Food was pretty good but obviously of ethnic origin and there was no alcohol.

I'd not exactly leap at the chance to fly Kuwait again but if the price was good, I wouldn't avoid them either.

hopefullty by then the pound will have strengthened a little more too

I'm booked to go to San Diego from Manchester in October. Paid £429 with British Airways the other week (Missed the BA sale by hours when they were £349).

Just out of interest, I repriced the route again this morning on www.skyscanner.net

£201 return inc taxes with Continental Airways - :x

We're heading out to Vegas after San Diego, but Just to make me feel worse

£154.60 <--- Scrap that, as has been pointed out, I've search from Manchester USA not Manchester UK - I blame the predictive search.:oops::oops:

New York hotels? Depends what you want. There are some pretty trampy hotels that you can get cheaply or you can go for something like:
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g60763-d866615-Reviews-Hampton_Inn_Manhattan_SoHo-New_York_City_New_York.html

I stayed there in June and it's in a nice location (Tribeca/Soho) and it's not been open long so they're still offering good deals on rooms. Check Expedia.

Failing that, take a look here:
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g60763-New_York_City_New_York-Hotels.html

That lists all New York hotels in order of popularity on TripAdvisor and some of the most popular are pretty cheap.

I have flown with Kuwait Airways (London to Kuwait return) 6 or 7 times during the past 6 months. Their service is good, food is good. Planes (either A300, A340 or B777) are fairly old but most of the fleet had a re-fit recently. So seats are fairly new. Leg room is good. As mentioned before, the biggest problem is in flight entertaintment (or lack of it). Quite a few screens are out of order in any given flight. Also entertainement is not on demand.
Also there is no on-line check-in.
I must add on my last trip I got an upgrade to business class (using frequent flyer points). Everything was much better in business class!.

Stay across the river in NJ, half the price and only 10 mins on public transport to the Central Bus Station
#25
this is lovely!

This looks great. Apologies if I am being dim but is this return? I'm sure it does not say so any where.

Also, how do you book, is it just by phone? Anyone used this site before?

Any particular hotel?

Good deal!

I have never flown with Kuwait, but I must point out to the fear monger's that are saying the planes look old and falling apart.... If that really was the case then they would not be allowed to fly in EU Airspace let alone to the US.

All planes and repeat offender airlines must go through rigorous tests in order to be granted airspace in certain parts of the world.

some other decent deals
