What is this tape I hear you shout-

Self-amalgamating tape is a non-tacky silicone-rubber tape which when stretched and wrapped around cables, electrical joints, hoses and pipes combines or unites itself into a strong, seamless, rubbery, waterproof, and electrically insulating layer

End of the day its a handy tape to have about the house ;-)

Rubawrap is a strong synthetic elastic self amalgamating tape. Possessing excellent high voltage, ozone and water resistance. With the added ability to protect against corrosion. A useful addition to any home tool kit.

I thought this was an odd colour for dentists to use.

Excellent stuff. I used this on my garden lights 15 years ago on joints underground. Still working today.
