Lol. They have new planes but yes awful service and reliability (as in sticking to the schedule, etc.)

You can read some of the Air India Horror stories from here

if its via delhi, you have to collect your baggage at delhi, take it to the domestic terminal using the airport coach (free) and checkin the luggage again.

Have some heat. Air india is still much better than british airways. The new air india aircrafts are very good and have more leg room as compared to airlines. They dont con you like BA where the leg room space is very less.

Did you say something? Read this Virgin Atlantic complaint letter (and I urge you to look at the destination).

I refuse to fly air India anymore. been bumped off flight not once but twice and that was after confirming flight and arriving 3.5 hours before flight. on board their service is average at best. I don't fly BA either after flight cancelled due to strike action. For India have a look at Jet (and they fly to regional airports).

service comes at a price.....the fact is that air india are lowest in airfare as compared to the other big players. if you are after cheap fares then people shouldnt complain about service

Don't forget you need a £90 visa per person to visit India, £360 is a lot extra for a family of 4
