It's just been edited.. I've already sent off the screenshot to the mods of the description before it was added to confirm that I posted it before that message was edited anyway. Heat to both posts :p

Wilko have these at 50p per 4-pack (always that price) for anyone who has a local Wilko.

Yeesssss! A decent battery deal (i.e. not Duracell) that has gone hot! Yippee! It's the normal price for good quality AA cells though.

Why aren't battery companies forced to state the mAh of their products on the packaging? I'm unsure how many Duracell AA types there are, but a lot of people think that a Duracell, is a Duracell, so therefore all are equal. With rechargeable batteries it's always listed. I'm not saying that it will actually be that value, but hey, it gives you something of a benchmark.

why not to buy rechargeable ones and forget ever buying batteries?

...and the even better 95p 8-pack.

why not to buy rechargeable ones and forget ever buying batteries?

Plenty of reasons; chief among them being convenience & shelf life.
