Thanks for this. I already have the special edition of Long Way Round and had been waiting for this one to drop in price for ages. Heat added

Good deal - I got this at xmas when it was £6.99 - its superb, really enjoyed their trek through Africa.

I hate the way they add more episodes to the special editions

This special edition includes an extra 2 hours episode material and 1 hour extras including "The Missing Face Documentary" - the story of Ewan and Charley's first trip to Africa.

Extra 3 episodes and the extra footage in the other episodes

Why not just add everthing to the original set! :x

Good deal on price, so voted hot. But be aware, as mentioned, there is a 3 disc 'special' edition ...

I loved Long Way Round but was underwhelmed by 'Down'. They seemed to spend the whole time just slogging along difficult 'roads' trying to meet deadlines. The whole thing had the air of just covering miles in a tight timeframe, rather than the entertaining experience that 'Round' was. Even Ewan and Charlie both constantly complained that this was what the whole project had become.

Still well worth seeing though for the good bits!
