One of the funniest spoof shows of recent years; if not the funniest, imo.The BAFTA nominated series of 10 minute nostalgia treats. This quirky spoof science series will appeal to anyone who remembers the dull, educational films that were obligatory viewing for school pupils in the 70's. This pin-point parody takes us into such surreal flights of fancy as dehydrating water, the effects of sulphur on champagne and monitoring igloo-building ants.

Special Features
20 minute original pilot
3 minute music video
Commentary with writers and key performers
Interactive menus
Scene selection
Additional pages of Ceefax

*Same price at HMV, but posted this as the deal due to RAC 5% and Quidco, but if you prefer........

Look Around You: Series 2 £6.99http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/848496//Product.html?P36=CDV3QD
Wherever you are, whatever you do, Look Around You.

Robert Popper and Peter Serafinowicz write and star in the second series of their wickedly funny comedy show, Look Around You. This time the format of the series closely resembles Tomorrow's World from the late '70s to the early '80s; with the chaps flanked by the lovely Olivia Colman and Josie D'Arby as co-presenters.

Each episode of Look Around You features an important new invention, and its - mental or highly deluded - inventor. From the aptly named Leonard Hatred and his Psilence ear spray, to Sam Macnamara and Pat Taylor with their sex-change machine, the inventions are utterly insane and often lead to incidents in the studio - just ask good ol' Jack "Jackie" Morgan! Don't forget the assortment of madcap guests including: Tchaikovsky's ghost (played by Harry Enfield); Dr. Franklin Fu; The mischievous supercomputer Bournemouth, along with his creator Computer Jones; and most importantly, HRH Sir Prince Charles - to announce the winner of the 'Invention of the year' competition!

Just one thing, if Mr. Simon Teigh, winner of week five's invention, is reading this synopsis, please contact the Look Around You team immediately!

Ditto, S1 = great, S2 = avoid!

Bless you ants:

series one was funny, series two less so

Series 2 was still pretty funny I thought, but series 1 is absolute classic stuff.
I like the Ghosts causing mischief in the laboratory!
Definate hot buy at those prices, as stated series 1 is utter genius. Worth the price just for the 'music video'
i'm rapping!

and series 2 was awesome: music 2000, synthesizer patel, petticoat 5, medibot, class
