This is a con because the one in Lord of the Rings wasn't made of gold, it was made of MAGIC.

You won't get back what you paid for any type of store bought gold - its all massively overpriced.
This, if ever sold years down the line would probably be a collectors piece so may be worth more than its scrap price eventually - but then again it may not.
Not voting either way as I don't know if its cheap or not.

Amazon must be in league with Sauron, as there is only ONE ring to rule them all, everyone else was deceived!

Just make sure you *really* want it before you buy it, the returns process for these things is dreadful.
in fact i once saw a 9 hour documentary about some guys trying to return one they'd got by mistake.
#17
Who cares if it is cheap - can you put a price on world domination?

I would buy this but I hear wearing it makes you look short and pasty!

I think everyone is missing the point of this item, it should be thought more of as a film replica and therefore as something that will increase in value over time. Me and the wife got one each of these but 18ct versions imported from the US to use as wedding rings, by the looks of the box it's an officially licensed product. In 10 or 20 years time i could see these being worth a hell of a lot more. If the ones we have are anything to go by they are fantastic quality, but unfortunately they don't make you disappear when you put them on.....lol

"Only 2 left in stock--order soon (more on the way)"

on a side note, ours were $400 each, so £200 each at the time, so that was a bargain! and they were from http://www.noblecollection.com/catalog/catalog.cfm?catid=17
I see they are $650 now, so i suppose that makes these the best deal in the UK

Me and my partner got married with the white gold version of this.. AND we had a medieval theme :o HOW sad am I?! AND it was halloween!! AND.. GOSH.. we had a Nightmare Before Christmas ball.

But the worst part of it is..

Everyone said it was the best wedding they have ever been to and still talk about the good time they had 4 years later. I'd rather of been brave enough to have my idea of a perfect wedding then the stereotypical average just so I wasn't seen as 'sad'.
