this is about the acceptable price for this, with it not being the extended versions-as everyone predicted, there must be warehouses full of these-everyone is waiting for the extended versions-I personally wouldnt buy this at any price.hot for price tho.

£29.97 at bolton tesco
#10
I would buy this for £15......But still wish they would just release the extended versions at the same time, rather then milking it.....Knew this would drop to around this price sooner then later... Hot if its nationwide..
#11
Was in tesco last night and was looking at the blu ray section and this was not £15 in there.
#12
Jesus according to Amazon.com the extended version isn't expected until 2011 or 2012. But stay strong people.
#13
At £15 I would consider the purchase, although I think if I want to see it in short HD I will download and purchase the extended blu-rays when they finally hit the shelves.

Which is stupid since the 1080p extended versions were on American TV a couple of years ago.
#16

#17

None in five ways Birmingham, but to be fair their blu ray and video games selection is pants for a store of it's size, will keep an eye out in other stores.
#19
Why is this deal still getting heat when it is unconfirmed?
#20
Just under £30 in my tesco too oO

Same in my local store..
#22
Has anyone scanned it even if its displayed at under £30?
sometimes they don't update their display yet the price is already reduced.
I get it alot when buying clothes and dvds from tesco.
#23
I was thinking the above, but not bothered to go and try lol
#24
none in my local store
#25
Another one off tesco deal with no proof and yet increasing in heat every second. Someone expire it already and be done with it.
#26
If i need to go to my local i would go scan it, but bit of a journey when i don't really have money for it.
#27
£29.97 in my store

They broadcast in 1080p in the States? (_;)
#31
Did anyone actually scan them or just believe the £29.97 on the shelf?
#32
What's the obsession with the extended editions? These were the versions that were in cinemas and therefore the only version I am interested in.

No you didnt. Channel 4 have never broadcasted these films in HD, What you saw was an upscale.

This. The OP didn't even post the promised picture or receipt. Even if he did, it seems like a one off.

No need to get sarky just because your mistake has been highlighted, but since you did...

If you can't tell the difference visually between SD and HD then why go to the expense of an HD TV? Even if you are visually impaired, simple logic would have told you that not everything on C4 HD is broadcast in HD, because C4 HD shows everything that is on standard C4 including ancient Friends repeats. In fact, the vast majority of content on C4 HD is not actually HD. Remember kids, Channel 4 HD is not Ronseal.

PS Channel 4 HD broadcasts in 1080i so as a matter of fact, you have never watched anything in 720p on Channel 4 HD! :p

I may check the Tesco Metro in Torquay, since a friend paid the full £30 down there
