Are they really? That'd be a deal breaker for me if so. I'd never get into the film again if I had to get up and switch discs.
Deal breaker for me too, when I asked why they told me it was because one does not simply fit an uncut film onto a single disc

Maybe the theatrical blu-ray are single disc - a lot cheaper too.
So they can sell us the 1-disk per movie version later on!
It's not like it was already on 3 discs to start with ;)

Or the fact that it just plain doesn't fit?

For those of us with a decent attention span and an actual bladder, 3 and a half hours isn't that long.
I can see how people wouldn't have a problem with it, but personally I'd never be able to get back into it. I'll just stick with my DVD's. Still a brilliant price, but it's not for me.
