It is a bit on the pricey side at full price, i've got all 3 of these and they are packaged beautifully and do contain the full music music from the films rather than the cut down 1 disc versions, i'm not sure why they command a price of around £50 upwards though, but that's what they've been since they were released all these years ago.

Like I say in the original post, you very rarely get these on sale at all, so any discount is a massive bonus

You could kind of apply that theory to any cd deal that is posted, if you prefer the cheaper option and are not worried about actual physical releases then thats also a good way to go (but not exactly legal)

I do that, has to be said, but useually **** it up and my Sony player jumbles up the tracks. (My Cowon ones never have this trouble though, just Sony)

Seems pricey for what it is. Is it limited edition or something? I like the first two soundtracks, but the music for the third seemed a bit of a repetition of the first two films.

Obviously, if you're a die hard fan then you will buy this. 95% of the rest of the public will avoid it.

Yes, this one and the other 2 are ltd edition, they come in book style oversized case and contain a very nice booklet as well.

Just to put this price in perspective as to how good a deal it is, one just sold on eBay for £67, I agree with what you say this deal isn't for most people, but for the rest who are into this sort of thing will appreciate the discount.

Totally agree. I am one of the holders of a 2000 limited figurine of Boromir. And try and collect as much LOTR stuff as I can.
