I can't believe Lost is done!

Was looking to order the complete season and found it on amazon and play.com for the same price, however amazon releases it earlier (06.09.2010), play.com releases it not until 20.09.10.

They unfortunately only have it on DVD not blue ray.

Never ever watched the show - was it any good :?

Ridiculous amount of money for 6 seasons of TV.

I will wait until Christmas and pick it up for £50.
#4
Seems very expensive compared to most other series box sets. I guess this is another case of pre-order madness where some people who are really into it will pay crazy prices while the rest of us wait until the set has been out for a while and the cost has fallen dramatically.

Or you could have recorded it for nothing if you have sky

EDIT - less cost of video's or dvd's

expensive for ONE decent season:whistling:
#7
Cheaper than buying the DVD boxsets seperately - but inevitably this will be worth picking up in a year or so when interest dips slightly.
I can't justify the purchase of £130 quid for a DVD boxset - not even a Blu ray boxset at that price.
#8
Wait for the BR version, I agree £50-ish tops (for the BR version) before I'd even consider buying the box set.

In a word - YES.

Its an excellent series (that has its flaws), but is a great watch.

Agreed though that £130 for the boxset is not good.

...stupid comment...Lost was one of the best of the US series over the past few years  ...if you're looking for crap try Prison Break series 2 onwards and, most recently, The Pacific...overblown ******!!!

...however, I've yet to see this current series 6 out, I have it all on my Sky planner, so it could very well drop the ball with a daft and unsatisfactory ending! :whistling:

and desperate housewives and glee and flashback and prison break and all that other american trash that for sum reason some of my friends seem to like,

the thing was made up as they went along and from all accounts even the writers couldnt explain why half the stuff happend in the end...

Hardly.

Desperate Housewives is awful.

Lost is one of the best shows of all time.

Flashback doesn't exist (Flashforward wanted to be Lost but was terrible).

And Glee is enjoyable campness.

This deal is cold though:thumbsup:

just going off the awful programs my mates who are in to it also obsess about, there is logic to my madness i assure you though addmitedly i can see why the comparison might be alien to you all

edit: lol apoligies on the flashback/forward confusion got confused with the name of the class megadrive game

I've been asking friends not to tell me what happens in the final LOST episode. I'm not worried about them spoiling it, I just don't give a s**t.

I would agree all those shows you listed are trash (like 99,999% of TV programs), but Lost is 10 times what those other shows are, been the best show on TV since the Outer Limits despite the rubbish ending!
#24
incidentally,I very much doubt amazon are releasing this a fortnight before play-one of the dates will be a mistake.

I'm sorry but the explanation of the ending in that article doesn't even make sense. Did the writer even watch Lost?

was i the only one who gave up after season two?

Yeah enough of the Lost bashing! One Tree Hill my backside.
If you an supress the notion of reality after the first two seasons then it is an excellent and often humanistic look at mankind, faith and dominion.
If you prefer something steeped in real life notions like The Wire or The West Wing then it may not be to your liking.
Then again, what did Sam Coleridge say about entertainment only working if we were willing to accept the "suspension of disbelief". If you haven't got that, then pity upon you.

'All', as in 'None of'...

The ending worked on an emotional level, but yes it didn't give the answers we were hoping for. But even with all its flaws, it was a great show.

i havent got that...

i think you hit the nail on the head though if you spress the notion of reality.... i mean i can watch fantasy stuff and get involved dont get me wrong but this didnt start as a fantasy did it become it? ill never know nor care...

i mean i watched a few episodes from the first series and just couldnt handle the fact that id wait a week and none of what arose in the prior episode was answered.....

i mean a week wound me up, the fact that people have waited for 6 years and they still havnt been answered and know its over only one thing to say

that'll learn ye!!

"But although it's all over, fans have one more chance to finally understand the mystery.
The final episode's storyline will continue on a season six DVD with more than 20 minutes of additional material."

Is this why the pre order price is so high? I'm sick at the moment so thought that was why the ending didn't make sense - glad everyone has the same sort of questions.
