In my local store today they were selling the lost complete seasons for £20 all seasons in stock except 2 but assistant said they did have some at £20 best price i can find online is £25 each. Looks like a nationwide deal as they had them on a special offer end along with the £10 hero's dvds already posted.

I hate doing this, but the first series is cheaper here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/363459/lost-dvd-s-season-1-17-99-season-2-/ but that's a darn fine price for series 4

Neither seem like good prices to me: It's Lost...

Just because you don't like this series doesn't mean it ain't a good deal. If we were talking about something less subjective, ie an HD TV, then we could bump fists, but for something like a TV show then you got to appreciate the bargain to be had for the fans.

However, I digress since you clearly state that this is your own opinion. Everyone is welcome to that, no matter how wrong it is :-D

What really gets me about this show is that ultimately every series they make is just killing time with more nonsense plot threads until the last 10mins of the very last episode when everything (I would assume) will all come together.
The result is that the last however many years people have spent watching this are rendered moot when the entire story can be summarised as 'People crash land on an island.........and this is the reason why.'

I gave up on Lost about half way through season 2 when it became apparent that it was being made for its own sake. I've kept loosely in touch as my housemate watches it but I generally only pay any attention so I can mock him for watching it.

Having said all that Ignorant Pom probably summed it up just as well.

How can a subjective opinion be wrong?

Yep you are spot on.... i still watch it in the vein hope something might happen and they'll answer some questions. i still waiting and now have more questions!

it's the classic series thing of drawing the franchise out to long and ruining it.

I would suggest that plenty is answered and then new questions are posed, what is it you are so desperate to know?

That's a real shame, it gets better in series 3 and 4. There was a lull in series 2 because the writers took it in a different direction after being given the go ahead to write more series. I'm not going to try to convince you to watch it (God knows I tried to convince my friends - to no avail), but what I will say is that if you watch it carefully and take in everything that everyone says you would get more out of it. Lost is not a show that you can drift in and out of.

You could summarise every single TV show, Movie, Book etc in this manner.

The show is about so much more than it's destination, it's the journey of getting there. The development of characters is well beyond most TV shows out there, certainly beyond any sci-fi show I can think of. The writing is excellent, if they are making it up as they go along (doubtful) then they're doing a very good job of it.

The funny thing about the making it up as they go along statement is that technically every TV show is done like this. They all begin with a pilot that they have no idea will get picked up, they have no idea if the show will make it through a full season let alone get a second. Generally they have an outline of where the show is going but the writing of each episode is done almost up to production of said episode.

i think any questions posed would be spoilers and you wouldn't be able to answer them anyway. I up with the latest episode of series 5 and it's becomming a chore.

There's no reason to sit there having a go at Lost!!! It's a great show...fair enough, season 2 was a flop in many people's eyes (not mine), but from then on they've got their act together.

Season 5 now is quality! Few more answers...few more questions too..but its why so many of us are hooked on the damn thing!

Hope people aren't voting cold for the sake of the fact they don't enjoy the programme! £20 for a complete season of anything is very hot!!!
