An ok price for a new copy of this game. Said to be surprisingly good. For all of you Final Fantasy fans out there...

# nnovative RPG Gameplay: Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) elements are blended into the game's traditional role-playing game system, enabling players to make strategic decisions for a more immersive and deep gameplay experience.
# Engaging and Unparalleled Emotional Story: With story sequences penned by award-winning Japanese novelist Kiyoshi Shigematsu in cooperation with producer Hironobu Sakaguchi, Lost Odyssey sets a new benchmark for the RPG genre with a combination of true-to-life cinematics and an intriguing story of an immortal man. Players will witness Kaim's life as he lives through many generations, becomes part of numerous families, falls in and out of love, and confronts all of the conflicts that arise. Kaim's struggles are set in a world that is on the verge of a "mystical industrial revolution," where mankind has attained dark powers.
# Massive Scope: The massively scoped worlds, memorable characters and epic storyline play as an intense and unsettling blockbuster action film. Heading up the artistic demands of the title is famed Japanese comic artist Takehiko Inoue. Renowned composer Nobuo Uematsu has been recruited to create a contemporary soundtrack.
# Realistic Next-Generation Graphics: Powered by Unreal Engine 3 technology, Lost Odyssey boasts stunning visual fidelity and rendering quality. The technology pushes high-definition visual designs to a higher level and brings out the smallest details in the largest battles. Experience a rich dynamic world with an unprecedented level of detail.

This game is honestly the best Xbox 360 game I have ever played.

The story is just phenomenal. It contains 4 discs and it can be about 50 hours long.

Amazing price for an amazing game!

I just couldn't commit myself to it for some reason, but it's fairly good.

Great game for £8.99 - if they'd slapped "Final Fantasy - Lost Odyssey" on the box it would be worth triple and sell quintuple what it has.

The fact it takes ages for the random fights to start as they load, and there is lots of them start to really grait. Also there is a few too many cave areas where you can get lost, one thing you dont want to be doing with so many random battles around is getting lost.........

Finally, I just had an area on disc 3 where there wasnt a savepoint for 3 and a half hours ! :?

I have the jap version because Im hardcore baby, but the UK version, 3 discs fit in the box, the fourth one is in a paper sleeve, also, there is reportedly a lot of problems with disc 4 in the uk versions, ie, it doesnt always work.

Good price. I bought it a while back, the story seemed really good, but I only played it to the end of the first disk because the frequency of the random encounter battles started to get annoying.

I've got the game, 4 discs as described. Never played it mind but will considering some feedback on here :).

Its an excellent game, its better than the recent final fantasys in my opinion, plus it has the fighting style i like, back to turn based as in 7,8,and 9, rather than the free running around fighting that personally i feel is abit naff

Not a bif fans on jrpgs myslef and never played final fantasy either but this has a great story with some nice cinematics. It was seriously long as well so its good value what ever you feel about it. The bad stuff is definately the random battles and the massive times between saves.

i'm about 2/3 of the way through - as you'd expect some of the battles do get annoying but it's easier than final fantasy and the graphics are really good. The story is a bit mad in places as you'd expect for a Japanese game but that much decent gameplay for £8.99 is a definite bargain! Hot from me.

Storyline was decent, gameplay was lacking a lot for me.

This is too true, just like FF13 :whistling: poor franchise gone down the drain :(
But this was a good game, I stopped playing my 360 a while back so didn't finish it, but whilst it lasted it was rather good, definitely worth this price.

Saw this game in the Head store in Merry Hill in the Midlands 2 days ago for £4.99 - had loads of them too - i've already got it and it's a great game - well worth it for either price! :)

This is definately the best Final Fantasy style game on the xbox, the only downside I can think of are the dream unlocks, fantastic stories but you have to read them, shame they aren't narrated.

Still that would have probably added yet another disc :-D

I feel a mug for not playing this now. I got this around the same time i picked up Fallout 3... which won my affections outright.

I'd definitely consider playing this now, however, judging by the remarks on here.

I love this game, best JRPG I've played. Playing it through at the moment, on 4th disc and Immortals at mid 80 lvl's...currently at 70+ houys play time...awesome value for money!

To lvl up fast then you need to get the Temple of Enlightenment (google how to find it) as you can go up a whole lvl each battle.

:)

I racked up over 100 hours playing this game, simply superb.

Yes there are a lot of random battles but as you progress further through the game they get more challenging especially the little silver things who's name escapes me.

What's the name of the place which had all the lifts on narrow walkways? That place drove me mad lol

Well worth the money.

Great game. Great price. Might replay this bad boy whilst I wait for Final Fantasy 13 to hit the shelves. Not long at all now!

never understood RPG games find them very boring. got this free with my xbox played it for ten mins and then took it back to swap it. hot if u like this kind of stuff.

This is a phenomenally underrated game. You may get stuck at some parts, but you really should persist as it's so rewarding. I've played a lot of 360 games, and this might just take the cake for first place. Honestly, I couldn't recommend this game more. I love the characters--there's such a range of personality unlike a lot of RPGs I play. The voice acting is also excellent. Gameplay is second to none if you'd like to play one of the last "classic" style JRPGs. Any other redeeming qualities? It lasts ages and has music composed by Nobuo Uematsu.

If you're an RPG fan, you'll know that name. This game demonstrates some of his best work. Heat added.

I'm a big RPG fan and I've never played this, checked it on Metacritic and it has a score of 78 which is very respectable! I might grab this if I can scrape the money from somewhere!
