hmv exclusive sleeve - avilable online and instore only from hmv Lost Planet 2 picks up 10 years since the events of the original adventure and the landscape has evolved dramatically. With the success of terraforming activities, the planets ice has begun to melt, giving way to lush tropical jungles and other new environments. The story has advanced beyond Wayne Holden as players will now follow the exploits of their own customized snow pirates on their quest to seize control of E.D.N III. Players will move their heroes through different stories creating a truly unique and interactive experience. With this concept, gamers will have the opportunity to engage in the story in a more dynamic way as plot threads evolve from various perspectives.

The strongest features from the first game will return in Lost Planet 2 making fans feel right at home. In addition to the anchor actions that made the gameplay in Lost Planet a true 3-D experience, Lost Planet 2 allows gamers to gain tactical advantage with a wide variety of new actions. The game will also contain a new addition to the enormous Akrids which were a fan-favourite in the first Lost Planet.

Capcom has spent a considerable amount of time reviewing community feedback and incorporating it into Lost Planet 2 creating a game that both new and returning fans to the series will love. The game takes advantage of Capcoms most highly advanced software development tool, the MT Framework 2. This is the first game to make use of the new technology that builds on the advancements made in the original MT Framework.

Beyond the deep single player mode, Lost Planet 2 is loaded with one the most extensive multiplayer campaign seen in a shooter to date. The intense and action packed campaign mode comes with the ability to form teams of up to 4 players online to clear mission objectives with friends.

could be tempted at this price if i can persuade some mates to also buy it... from what people have said about the ai on single player i would only consider playing this in co-op
#2

Wow, very very tempted.

Ignore the reviews, this game is tons of fun for people who actually have friends to play with.

I'm betting most of the reviewers are fat nerds who completely avoid communication with all human life.
#16
I'm tempted, and it did get very tepid reviews.

But still, £18 for that can't be overlooked.
#18
Shirts sold out now, you'll receive your order without them.
#19
this game is great fun with mates :)

although i still think being called a snow pirate sounds like an insult

+1 Great games.

Its always games that are hyped that are always well reviewed and thats a truth. Recently played Alan Wake and its the most ove rhyped game I've ever played, good game but ain't no masterpiece.

I'd give this a solid 7.8/10 and a really enjoyable multiplayer game.

if you bothered to read the post - i spoke to HMV myself to check that a t-shirt was included, as another user spotted a picture with the game & t-shirt - hardly going to lie and waste my own money buying it am i and while stocks last... and not like im a new user :whistling: & even if the t-shirts do run out this is still the cheapest ATM

Funny that, was playing 4 player co-op and everyone agreed it was crap. We couldn't even be bothered to finish a single playthrough. The reason most of the reviewers say it's awful is because it really is. Sure, it's going to have it's fans but it's really not a patch on the first one and the whole business of going back to the start of a chapter when you die is immensely frustrating.

I'm glad you like it, but nobody I've spoken to has thought a lot of it.

Voted hot on best price grounds though.

looks a god price. not got many mates on xbl though, so not sure if it's worth it for me (if the reviews are anything to go by!)

Its £24.99 instore at HMV however you get 800 live points so the price increase nearly balances out.
#34
£29.99 for PS3 version now :-(
#35
I didn't get a t-shirt and I ordered 3 copies. Did get the sleeves though. =/
#36
Ordered the 360 version but didnt get the T-shirt, but did get 800 Microsoft Points. CEX still give £16 cash for the game, sooooo £2 for 800 points? Bargain :D
#37
No T-shirt but got 800 points instead. Better than nothing I guess!
#38
i received mine today, no T-shirt, no 800 points!!
was there something special you had to do to get the 800 points?
i did get an e-mail back from them about no t-shirt (pre orders only) and there was no mention of m$ points in the e-mail. :-(
