Reviews have been very mixed, apparently as a single player game it is awful (very poor AI, poor placement of checkpoints, and bad controls), but is better as a co-op game.

Not a bad price but i suspect it will drop like a stone.

Came out £23.79 for me...I'm happy with that!

:)

Is this not out already? I got my dispatch email today from Zavvi.

The game scored a 6/10 on IGN though.

Poor review scores unfortunately. I can see the price being £17.99 within about 6 weeks.

It REALLY isn't. Sluggish character movement. Mecha movements are worse. Bad storyline. Bad voice acting. Slow gameplay (isn't as exciting as the trailers make it look). You are always overpowered by the enemy as your bullets may well be pea shooters. Quite a step down from the original.

Try sub £15.

Whats more laughable is that they already have DLC made which was actually cut from the retail version so they can get more money out of the people who buy it.

really? i thought the demo was good fun, is it that bad then?

Take what most of the people have said about this game with a pinch of salt:roll: this game is going to be a sleeper hit. Also alot of people did overlook the first one and that was a really good game. I did enjoy both demos for lp2 and im sure i will enjoy this:thumbsup:...

Unfortunately - as the election showed - people are easily swayed by the media and even if this is the best game ever and the media say its pants then it will bomb. :x

so true!:whistling: poor ol gordon:roll:

edit: The conservatives had the backing of the media thats for sure! but at one point even i started to think that nick clegg had a chance to get into office, but surprise surprise i guess that was just a ploy by the media to get people to not vote for the labour party and vote libs so indirectly help the conservatives... i know it sounds far fetched

It was the media going on about "tactical voting" that did it. What a stupid stupid thing. Im not affiliated or a fan of any party btw.

Good deal :D

How is this game compared to the first one? Both in campaign and multiplayer.

Well, IGN review here: http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/108/1088076p1.html. They give it a mighty 6/10, although some other sites have rated it higher.

They say it hasn't come a long way since the first, and is still as clunky and awkward as ever - especially the multiplayer. They also say there's a lack of save points, so if you get a particularly difficult boss (which you will, many offering one hit kills), then it can be an extremely frustrating experience.

I liked the first game, but the MP does feel extremely dated and sluggish now and I never play it anymore. Hence the reason I'm reluctant to purchase the sequel - the MP demo on LIVE did nothing for me at all and seemed almost identical to the first. I'm torn as to whether to take the chance or not, as all said it IS a decent price for a new game.

Well, mines been dispatched, dispatch email said £23.79.

Probably play it a week and trade it in for a similar price.
