From the Overlook Hotel in THE SHINING to the Bates Motel in PSYCHO, inns haven't gotten a good rap in the world of books and film. In THE LOST ROOM, the Sunshine Motel doesn't fare much better. Decades ago, supernatural forces transformed Room 10 at the motel into a cache of magical power in which each object in the room can do something special. Detective Joe Miller (Peter Krause, SIX FEET UNDER) discovers a mysterious key that changes his life. His daughter (Elle Fanning, BABEL) disappears into the room, and the key is the only thing that can help Joe find her again. But he isn't the only one who wants the precious objects, causing hordes of obsessive collectors to descend on him. With its labyrinthine plot and imaginative premise, THE LOST ROOM garnered praise from critics and audiences alike. This Sci-Fi channel miniseries also stars Julianna Margulies (ER), Kevin Pollak (THE USUAL SUSPECTS), and Roger Bart (DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES).

£11.99 is next cheapest then creeps up a bit and then most places sell is around £25 - £30

I loved this mini series. If anyone is in any doubt about whether to go for it or not, it is very good, and well worth a tenner of your money.

Hot,,,Good spot,,,Youve not seen "Toto-Live in Amsterdam" on blu ray cheap on your travels have you, Less than a tenner??? not had any luck best price recently was £11.79,,,

That's a good deal, I enjoyed that mini-series.

On a side note if anyone hasn't seen it and is a Sky customer with the variety mix, you can watch it for free on the Sky Player application.

That said at £10.83 for the DVDs which you can keep, this is a steal.

They were setting up for an on going series and then the network changed their &^*&^ing minds !!

Same as what everyone else has said..great mini series.I think it could have carried on and had a good following.
#12
I agree, fab series, pity no more got made
#13
wish there was more of this series
#14
It had so much potential, but never made it to series. I have no idea why.

The wrapup at the end doesn't really work (and is obviously the "in case we don't make it to a series" vaguely satisfying ending) but apart from that it's a cracker. And at least I knew it wasn't going to be a series before I watched it, unlike (say) Threshold which enjoyed a lot and didn't find out that it was already cancelled until after I'd got into it... grrr....

Great series! heat and rep added!

Sounds like Surface and Heist too. Both got cancelled without a decent ending :( Oh, and of course Star Trek Enterprise. Why don't they check other countries before cancelling altogether?

Good series, as for value, remember it was only 3 episodes long.. I think it's a tad expensive...

Yeah but the episodes are longer than the average. Taken this from the wikipedia entry;

"On the DVD, the miniseries is presented as six "one-hour" (48 minute) episodes, rather than as three "two-hour" episodes as originally broadcast. These are named "The Key", "The Clock", "The Comb", "The Box", "The Eye", and "The Occupant"."

I'm sure it was 3 1 hour 30 min episodes when I watched it but was a long time ago.

Still a steal in my eyes, if you haven't seen it then treat yourself :)

Heat and rep added.
