Created by successful television producer J.J. Abrams (ALIAS), LOST has became one of the most popular and critically acclaimed programmes of its day. Utilizing a ripe premise and well-drawn and acted characters, LOST attracted a huge following and was proclaimed the saving grace of a television year otherwise marred by derivative reality programming. The story concerns the survivors of a terrible plane crash, who find themselves stranded on a tropical island with seemingly little chance of a rescue. Medical doctor Jack takes a position of leadership, helping to rally the survivors and prepare them for a period of difficulty as they learn how to survive on the paradisiacal island. But everything is not as it seems, as the island offers potential danger in the form of a large, mysterious creature, and evidence is found that the plane crash may not have been an accident. As they struggle to survive, each of the characters forms alliances and makes enemies, all while dealing with the unresolved issues of the lives they've left behind. LOST distils the difficulties of society down to their essence, exploring these problems with compelling characters and with a setting that's equal parts paradise and mystery. This collection includes all episodes from series 1 to 5.

Just by chance i just recieved this facebook message

Each season has a very nifty feature called Season Play for the individual box, or you can set it to play from episode 1 of season 1 and it will do the whole show - basically it remembers where you got to at any point in any episode from the entire 6 seasons [eventually] and start from that point - mid episode say. Or if you put the disc in from another season it'll tell you you last watched an episode from a different boxset. Its rather cool.

But I invested in SD and will keep it that way until there is a blu box and a deal and pass my SD's on.

Incidentally, considering the cost of each season, smoking hot deal.

probably worth the wait for the 'complete' box set after the final season 6 is completed next year.

good deal though.

I don't think this is such a great deal since season 6 isn't out yet, when it is you'd have to buy that as well, would be better to just wait for a 1-6 boxset. Unfortunately I already bought season 1-4 but they take so long to come out on dvd that i've forgotten what happens in 1-4 haha, i'm waiting for season 6 on dvd and then buying 5 and 6 at the same time.

What's special about that? My PS3 and my PC will both continue from where I left off on a dvd without any "special feature"

If you put season 4 disc 3 in, it will let you know that you last watched season 1 episode 2, for example.

Why would you want to do that? surely you would watch them in order? :?

Not a bad deal , but I'll be waiting for full 6 seasons Blu Ray box set.

That's the idea - so if you can't remember where you get to, and end up skipping a disc by mistake (say you put disc 5 in after finishing disc 3 yesterday), it will tell you.
