LOST Seasons 1-6 DVD just £44.96 at Zavvi

Whatever your opinion of LOST, it is undeniable that it was a one of a kind, possibly never to be repeated (although The River premiering this Fall on ABC looks pretty good, and not too far off the same tracks).

Six seasons of well scripted, brilliantly acted entertainment, something to really leave you thinking (even if all you're thinking is... well that was s***)

As the recession starts to bite, you may find yourself with more time on your hands than you expected, with over 100 hours of entertainment for under £45, this is a bargain you really want to be picking up with that final pay check.

I must admit this posting of a deal isn't entirely selfless, I was wondering if anyone knows: Are the extras included on the DVD release, and Blu Ray release the same?

For this price you need to use the 10% off code listed somewhere at the bottom of this post

Like down here somewhere - \/ \/ \/ \/

Yeah, the one which says VCCOUK1030

I'll put it as a tag for you too...

Flash Forward & The Event will have The River to join them then

Cue dozens of "the ending wasn't exactly how I imagined it and therefore it was **** and ruined the entire show" idiotic comments.

Remember to put DVD in the title before some idiot comes along telling you he's wasted his time coming in to look thinking it was blu ray (its happened before)...... yes only a halfwit would think the blu ray is this price. Heat added!

The ending was fiction (religion). Lost's committed viewers were probably moderate sci-fi fans, and wanted a sci-fi ending. It's nothing to do with people being idiots, but solely down to the writers becoming lazy and using a trick that's deceived people for thousands of years. It was a kop-out.

Even if it didn't always make sense, it had me gripped year after year, and I cared about the characters and what happened to them. It was an awesome series, perhaps let down by the ending, but WHAT A RIDE!

Agree it was a great ride, I used to look forward to Lost every single week, whereas most stuff on now will sit on the Sky+ box for a couple of days til I get round to it. The ending wasn't great, although it did grow on me the more I thought about it. The whole series had brilliant moments (finding out what was in the hatch, the Others book club, the flash-forward realisation....) and whilst I wouldn't sit through it all again, if you didn't see it first time round you'll get your money's worth of entertainment for this deal IMHO.

Well I wasn't expecting it to be factual! I thought the ending was just right. :p

I just watched the whole series again in the last couple of weeks. Awesome show!

Amazing show. I will watch this all again in 15-20 years so its more fresh!

Lost and The Sopranoes were unmissable!

Can't complain about the first 4 seasons as it's the only series kept me in front of tv for 4 years...
but 5th season :S I felt that it wasn't gonna end answering everything.

and the 6th one!!! was a shed loads of questions packed up and wrapped with religion just not to answer any of them...

obviously the producers picked the easy way but still...the best series ever! (says the guy who hasn't watched anything other than simpsons, friends and southpark :))

First 2 seasons. Amazing.

Season 3-4. Really good.

Seasons 5-6. I want those 40+ hours back.

I sat through season 5 and 6, just because I'd watched so much so far and I knew it was ending. But it was like pulling teeth.

Not voting btw.

For true fans like me, the ending was brilliant. For many years they've said that it's a show about the characters, the sci-fi element was just the backdrop for a show about the individual journeys of the characters. They were all metaphorically "Lost" as a person and the show is about themselves overcoming that. Those who watched it as a sci-fi show really didn't and wouldn't understand the true beauty of this show.

For a true fan like you huh? So if you think the ending or indeed the last series was awful then your not a true fan?

Get a grip!

With all the scope for interpretation I would compare the ending to The Sopranos ending. Unlike the Sopranos, Lost consistently had the power to evoke emotion and genuine care for the characters and their journeys on the Island. The ending was a continuation of this and I loved it.

Loved the series but the ending was just laziness. It was basically religious so if you weren't a religious type or into an afterlife then it was a total let down. I've yet to hear someone who can defend the fact it was a let down unless they are strongly religious or such a massive fan they've convinced themselves it's a good ending when deep down they won't admit it was rubbish.

Time travel not science fiction? Look up the definition of science fiction anywhere and I think you'll find you're wrong.

I loved the show but didn't like the ending and thought 'Ashes To Ashes' - which ran along similar lines and finished about the same time - had a far more satisfying conclusion.

I must be a bit of a thickie that doesn't appreciate true beauty.

Best series I have watched and I'm not religious, nor into the afterlife and thought the ending was fitting (initally felt a bit like, was that it, but upon reflection and a couple more viewings I can appreciate). Do not take your point that the ending was lazy whatsoever.

I'm not strongly religious. And I still haven't seen the first season (?!). I wasn't let down by the ending. There.

Plenty of superior shows out there, Carnivale, Deadwood, Pushing Daisies, Southland, The Wire, The list keeps going on.

I always wanted Lost to go down the route of the island being the place where the could effectively change the numbers that made up the Valenzetti Equation via electro-magnetism / time travel.

I am still at pain thinking about the final episode; a huge cop-out based on the fact that a number of people suggested this particular ending when the writers ran some sort of competition in the US around the end of series 2 or 3.

However, with all that said it is STILL one of the best TV shows I've ever seen and should be at least viewed purely for the first 3 or 4 seasons.

A bargain in my opinion

Just what I was looking for, can't justify the Blu-ray price to myself so this is good value. Since it went to Sky I've not seen the remaining seasons.

Don't forget Quidco as well.
