Copied from Quidblog:

We just had an email in that LOVEFiLM are running an HDTV competition promo from today through to the 19th. They are giving one 32″ Sony Bravia HDTV every day for this week and all you have to do to enter is sign up for a free DVD trial (must be your first time). The icing on this deal is theyve also bumped up cashback slightly so you can also get £13.50 cashback for the free trial. So, in total you get a free 2 week DVD rental trial, £13.50 Quidco cashback and entry into their daily HDTV draw.

Not to speculate too much but the chance of winning this daily draw is pretty high As registration amounts can vary wildly they havent put a number on it but just guessing, how many people in the UK will know about this offer and sign up for the trial in one day? Its probably one of the best chances you have for winning such a good prize! (never mind the cashback and free trial).

Can sometimes take a little while before Quidco tracks the order. Check back tomorrow.
Quidco has this warning:

To receive your earnings you must be signing up for your first no-obligation free trial. If you use a promotional code in conjunction with this link you may not receive your Quidco cashback.
This was copy pasted from Quidblog. So, just to be clear, it's not matar, lovefilm or HUKD "not speculating" about the chances of winning. Quidco are "not speculating" about the high chances of winning. A hidden agenda to push some more members over the £5 barrier? Who knows!

Ah well, this is a good week to do a free trial if you're one of the few reading this that haven't already done it!
Added the copied from Quidblog bit to the post so it's clear who's saying what. Just a general rule but if you are copying/pasting from anywhere please give credit and say what you're doing so that we all know what is going on.

0d0d - I got the same affiliate email and it says"- The odds of winning one of the TVs are great – probably 1 in 1000-2000." I doubt anyone can promote it with that though as there are competition regulations for that sort of thing I would imagine.
Just doing some math... according to wikipedia lovefilm has 120k subscribers and they launched in March 2004. So that's an average of 6315 members/month, which is 210 new members a day. Using those stats you have a pretty good chance of winning :D
Because of this "deal" though the average will probably go up a fair bit. And be careful with that "subscribers" bit - it may or may not include free trial members. If the 120K is paying members only, expect the total number of users to be ten times that figure :P
Thanks for this :)
I signed up for this and they will not cancel my account. They've charged me the 12.99 even though they said they wouldn't
I followed all there requests, phone the 0870 number so thay can make more money on you. Cancelled... they bill me.. I tell them to refund the money and CANCEL the account. They replied with your account is active and correct. NO, I bloody cancelled it..
now presently on the fourth request to confirm cancel the account...
Clearly they ignore what you tell them

I will be taking this up with the fraud department of my bank.. it's just not on
I'd reiterate this. Don't touch these people with a bargepole.

The "offers" often fail to materialise, dvds are out of stock and cancellation is a nightmare - often meaning you end up paying for a months rental that you can't use - because you've cancelled! There are a few threads on other forums discussing their shortcomings - Yeah and I got stung too!:x

Amazon rentals is good because you get 10% off your dvd purchases, which is nice:)

They're cheaper too and the service is very fast. Some stuff does go out of stock but apart from that I'd thoroughly recommend them
