Good Deal - you normally have to pay through the nose for screw type bulbs. For example bought 10 bayonet bulbs for a pound at BM stores and 2 screw type at Ikea for £2.80 - 14 times the price!

Why we can't stick to the standard bayonet fitting I'll never know.

Just buy lights fittings with bayonet cap holders then, simples.

Why can't we stick to incandescent bulbs which give out better light and don't contain mercury to pollute the planet?

By the time these bulbs "warm up" and are actualy bright enough to use, you're ready to leave the room anyway. Pointless to be honest.
