There are no shoulder or waist straps on this bag as far as I'm aware which was a complete deal breaker for me when I was looking at this bag previously. The camera equipment on its own is a reasonable weight which combined with the additional storage capacity really needs both a shoulder and waist strap.

I agree with Johnmcl7, about the straps. The Slingshot 200 is a better bag for that. It is the diagonal "sling" strap which spreads the weight better in my opinion and it has the waist securing system. My studio has one and I borrow it on occasion. It's a nice comfortable bag, ideal for an SLR 2-3 lens and all the extra bumf. I took it to New York and it was perfect for the city tourist!

It's a bit pricier than this bag in particular but it's £52.50 from £97.90 on Amazon, which is a pretty good deal too.

Still, at the price point it nots a bad bag at all. It depends on your needs, taste and budget really. I don't have any extra lenses for my camera (I just steal the studios!) so I only have a small Lowepro shoulder bag, and the quality on all their products is very high.

Hello its a rucksack!!! last time i checked a rucksack had two straps!!
For your info i got this bag last year when i subscribed to photoplus magazine. Its excellent. perfect for days out as the storage compartment in the top is rather large meaning could get all the kids stuff in top i.e nappies, wipes etc. and still have the correct protection for my camera and lenses. was ideal when i went on holiday !!
as for the slingshot pro, i also have that bag. and i find it frustrating sometimes, it aint very big. If all you have is a camera and thats it fair enough. But the minute you add a few lenses, possibly chargers, batterys, maybe a gorillapod. The slingshot is burst .
For the cash you cant go wrong with the fastpack!!

Yes, it's a rucksack but I don't see your point about the straps - I would expect a bag expected to carry the weight it does to have a waist and chest strap as camera equipment is not light. I have a Slingshot 100 (the smallest one) and have had for a few years, it carries my E-3 (one of the bigger, heavier SLRs), three pro lenses (7-14mm, 12-60mm and 50-200mm), a teleconverter and two batteries and it's yet to 'burst'. My next bag up which is around the same size as the Lowepro here (but has no general use space, it's all for camera parts) has both shoulder and waist straps which I find absolutely necessary for the weight of the camera parts.

I do need something between the Slingshot and the bigger camera bag so I can carry non-camera equipment with me but no extra straps is a deal breaker unfortunately because this is a good price and I like the Lowepro bags.
