Jump to unread Post a CommentThe padding is adequate but the whole idea is lightness and compactness so don't expect it to protect the camera that well if you drop it on concrete for example!
the front pocket can fit a filter, battery and charger at a push. theres also another pocket on the inside of of the top flap big enough to put a memory card or two in.
as said above, its not the most protective, but its meant to be compact and light so theres some trade-off.
anything bigger would be too big.
but the lens itself is quite big for its class so all other 18-200 zooms should be fine as well.
