Was in Morrisons this weekend, and noticed these for £199 (I think the 32" was £299), and I also think it has freeview built in.

Full HD (1080p)....although not sure if you need it on a set thats only 26", however its not a bad price I guess for a tv for the kids bedroom.

Great deal with lots of functionality. Got one for the bedroom. Good for gaming, USB record PVR function and full HD for movies. Heck of a lot for £199!

Seems this brand may be related to Akura, nevertheless a great price for what is a good spec TV.

I found a PDF leaflet for the 32" version, which gives you some detail on it's features..

Link to the same TV at the same price, but out of stock, it gives more information along with a couple of positive reviews.

Saw this in the Lindsayfield EAst Kilbride store. today.

They also have a neon 32" with built in DVD player for £299 ( I think)

I've been looking for a 32" with built in DVD player, but it did seem pretty bulky so not sure about wall mount
#25
How does the USB PVRwork? Is there some kind of navigator software built in so it can preview the titles recorded or idoes it just list the files recorded. Can it pause/rewind live TV?

I dont know anyone would WASTE their money on this GARBAGE. OK, its fine for occasional viewing but to be used constantly for various things (tv, gaming, bluray etc;) your better off investing an extra £100 and getting a reputable brand. These unknown brands often have terrible contrast ratios, response time and are riddled with ghosting and blurring. You get what you pay for really :).

They have these in my local morrisons, make me throw up everytime i walk past, they have a dvd playing on them and the picture is so shockingly poor
#28
Nice price for a 26 incher. But it's getting that you can get 32inchers for £50 more and good quality branded 1080p 32inchers for £299.

I'd be curious about both the picture quality and remote control quality. I think it's probably worth paying the extra for a good brand.

I assume Lowry is Morrison's own brand name for electricals?

thanks; local morrisons has them but they never set them up for people to see if they're any good.

I did buy a lowry DVD player for 16 quid which was actually pretty good, so I had vague hopes the TV might be useable, I guess not.

H+R for honest comment

Wouldn't surprise me if they've got a crappy dvd player going and connected via scart!

Took mine back.
The picture was awful. The figures looked like matchsticks.

For 50 quid more id rather the Sony Bravia from Amazon.

Anyone bought this yet? What's the picture quality like?
#40
Bought 2 of these now £189!, as someone said the picture quality is not as good as some of the more expensive sets but for a tv in the kids room it's brill.

One of the cool features is being able to plug a usb stick into the back and play your downloaded movies.

It's got a nice epg and the menu system is easy to read and use.

Well worth it.
