Asda also have the lucozade energy on aswell:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/184792/12x380ml-lucozade-energy-bottles-3-

Lucozade sport works out to be about 14p per 100ml - or 70p per litre.

Much cheaper than this.

these are the just the empty bottles though, surely?

Seems a decent deal if they come with the drink. The label says 49.8p per 100ml so that would indicate that they do.

I thought that but if you look at the pic they are next to the full ones???
Can anyone confirm?

I assume it's just an error - since they'll be in the drinks category on Tesco's pricing system and they're marked up as a volume of 500ml it'll be automatically calculating the price per 100ml :)

Two of those bottles for £1.50 is good though. :)

i think they were empty, but its a good price if you are looking for bottles to put your drinks in
#8
my tesco was selling these in clearance basket few months ago for 50p each

they are empty

This would also be why they are on offer at 2 for £1.50, Lucozade (with liquid) has the same offer. Somebody cocked up!

The insides start smelling foul after some time, unless you periodically soak them in chlorine solution. Plus they absorb smells around the vacinity.
#12
In all honesty, they're pretty ****** bottles. You'd be better buying a real bottle of Lucozade and refilling that. Far cheaper.

they are much thicker and more durable plastic, ideal for sports where they shall be chucked around and thrown in kit bags. so no, it is not more suitable to buy a normal bottle and refil it. this will go out of shape and is not designed to be refilled time and time again

Why on earth has this received so much heat? I wouldn't pay £1.50 for a empty BOTTLE!

Rather buy locozade sport and throught the bottles away!
#15
because they're sports bottles. good of you to read the thread

14p per 100ml == 70p per litre? How?

Sorry, It quoted 14p per litre (or £1.40 per litre), but then you get an extra 6 bottles for £3 (so 12 bottle for £3) of lucozade energy, so £1.40 per litre then becomes 70p per litre after the offer.

The plastic on these warps relatively quickly making the cap difficult to get off. They also tend to pick up the smell of whatever you put in them, unless you drink solely water. I fail to see how a bottle maintaining its shape is of value? You said yourself that you'd only be throwing it in kit bags, not entering it into a beauty contest?
Refilling regular bottles will always be the cheapest and cleanest option.
#25
Regardless of which type of bottles is best, these bottles usually cost anything from £2 up to £5+, depending on brand etc. So to get 2 for £1.50 seems like a bargain to me :)

im not sure theyd warp unless you put them in really hot water or a dish washer.

i usually buy cycling bottles (and lose them) costing around £4 per bottle. they dont even match the quality of these

Voted cold, they are just empty bottles...................
and as stated they do start to stink badly after a few uses unless u clean them properly using the right liquids but they are just bottles. lmao. far cheaper just refilling a plastic cola etc bottle after use
