  I don't think you get these for the taste, if you do then you are missing the point of the product. I buy these type of thing for around 10-20p from approved food when they have them in stock and I keep a couple with my bike panniers.
  
  It's a cheat for when you are flagging but it isn't something that will fill you up and make you feel sick as you carry on riding. I don't run much any more but they'd be good for long slow runs too.
  
  One thing I do dislike about them (if ignore the taste) is that it's so much plastic for so little liquid. They tend to come in that hard to recycle plastic unlike gels do. Still, heat added for price.
