  nothing good for you in these folks.
  sports drinks have no effect on the average joe.
  dont take effect until over an hours worth of hard activiity.
  proven by a uni in uk

  You've got to think of it as something which is quite good at hydrating, but not as good as water and the main source of energy is just the huge amount of sugar.

  If I wanted to replenish my glycogen stores, I would much rather have a chocolate bar. Tastes much better.
  Its a shame that so many people think that these fizzy drinks are healthy - they are not.
  This is the purest form of junk food that money can buy. It has sugar, water and virtually no other nutrients.
  If you want a cheaper form of energy, add some white, table sugar to water and drink that instead.
