Are you sure it was 512MB?
#2
Haha sorry it is 500mb!
#3
Heat Added. £10 also from Quidco. So £370 over the two years, with the 'free' speaker and charger isn't too bad at all.
#4
Oh yes I forgot to mention the quidco which has already tracked. I am using the hotukdeals app. Could someone add this info and change the data to 500mb?!
#5
Decent deal. I have this phone and I love it.
#6
Can you put any case on it and still wirelessly charge?
#7
£17.50 per month with £10 handset cost for 1GB of data so an extra £1.70 per month.

I'm reading it as £10.50 with TCB?

Yes! You are absolutely correct. I confused them with TalkTalk!

I thought this would have went hot! I hope it's a good deal since I bought it!

probably not as hot as it could be because of the limited data. people on here looooove their data for all that hukd ing they do on the go :D

I am still wanting to buy this handset sim-free, but closer to £250...
Where is the cheapest place to buy Lumia 830 currently?
#15
I have a gel case on my lumia 930 and it seems to charge ok

Lukewarm, the phone is £299 SIM free at CPWH on a quick check without hunting for the cheapest prices (http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/phones/nokia-lumia-830/handset?colourCode=ORANGE) and the tariff is pretty poor. The accessories or equivalents can be sourced for much less than the 80 difference. People who are not savvy shoppers may consider this hot, but if you know your way around, it isn't. Not voting either way as price is nonetheless reasonable.

^ I think the £90 extra for the tariff and extras on top of the phone price of £299 make this a hot deal.
#18
Assuming the extras are completely free you are paying £3.75 for the tariff.

No 4G with talk mobile ?

Why would you need 4G with only 500mb a month? At 4G speed that would last no time at all.

Seems most people around here vote for the product rather than the deal these days...

just remember the speaker and charger are supplied by nokia not talkmobile afterwards. Once you get the phone you then supply nokia via email with your imei phone number. They will then supply freebies within 30 days(still waiting for ours)

Paul, do you think if I apply for this next week that it'll arrive before Christmas? In talking to TalkMobile this morning I found out that they do not supply it.

That's not sarcasm???

4G with a 500mb limit is nothing more than a marketing gimmick

My response was based on the comparison cost of buying SIM free vs this deal. There was no comment on the product itself nor alternatives.

Great phone, but Talkmobile were the worst mobile operator I've ever had. 2 years of hell. Just get the sim free version and your own sim only card.
#29
What was wrong with them? They're just Vodafone, no?
#30
Not worth it, get a 1020 for £144
#31
500mb data? cold.
#32
1020 for £144 from where?
#34
4G and only 500mb? Why not?
Have you guys experienced 3G in a congested area? 4G is not all about data hungry punters. It gives you a much smoother experience.

And no talk mobile is not Vodafone. They use their network and when it comes to resolving a problem they have no access to network information.
If you want to stay ahead with network features like having apps related to your account so you can check your allowance stay with the big boys not these piggyback companies.

Yep same here.

You need to sign up to a contract - £0 upfront, £19/month. £6/month for 24 months for the device, pay it off up-front = £144. The airtime is £13/month which you cancel straight away.

Ah that makes a bit more sense thanks. I might have a look into that tonight then.

Delivery is pretty quick, and if you want you can order one, then 'upgrade' immediately by paying £144 to get a second one.

Can you deffo get these o2 phones unlocked??

Been reading that not everyone is getting their phones unlocked and cancelling their air time. Some appear to be getting charged for one month's rental?
