Boots are currently offering a bonus of 1000 points with the purchase of this clock on top of the 1000 points received when spending £70. The code for 1500 more points when spending £100 can then be used with this. Plus the standard points for spending this amount of money means you can get a minimum of 3900 points when spending £100 or more, which is worth £39 in Boots stores.

Lumie Bodyclocks are specifically designed to help you feel refreshed, alert and energised all day.

Details:

The Lumie Bodyclock Advanced works by using your body's natural response to sunrise and sunset, synchronising your sleep/wake pattern to help you sleep better and feel better.

The sunrise is our regular natural alarm by which we set our body clock, aligning our daily rhythms with day and night. Most of us however mix early starts, late nights and weekend lie-ins and, given such inconsistent light cues, our body clock is soon thrown out of sync. A 'dawn simulator' can help by waking you with light, just like a sunrise. With your body clock set to run in time with your day, you'll feel brighter, more refreshed as well as naturally ready for sleep when it's night.

Each morning the Bodyclock wakes you naturally with light, which gets your body going before you are even conscious. At night, the Lumie Bodyclock Advanced gradually fades to darkness, giving your body the signal to wind down and go to sleep.

I have one of the Lumie clocks and found that it really did help me wake up when I was struggling to get myself out of bed for work in the winter.

I'm sure they're not going to be for everyone, but I would recommend them

Thanks for that :)
My husband suffers from SAD through winter so im thinking of getting some sort of light that may help him. Does anyone have any other recommendations? will this help relieve SAD symptoms or does it just make it easier to wake up?

I have got one of the cheaper ones from Avon and so find it wakes me up a bit easier in the mornings although I have to combine it with its alarm function as the light just doesn't do it for me on its own!

These aren't the same as SAD lights, my partner has SAD and had to get a specific type of light, at the time I think we got ours from Argos, it isn't very big but it was the cheapest around

This is the link http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001151&langId=-1&searchTerms=sad+rio - we found this was a good one too start with, hope that helps!

Had one of these, not worth the money, needed resetting regularly because it forgot to go off in the morning (making me late!!), bulb went after 6 months and the thing broke altogether just after the 12 months warranty ran out.:x

Voted cold, didn't even make me feel any better in the morning as was not reliable so needed second alarm as backup :x

I have one of these - have had it for nearly 4 years and I swear by it in the winter. I wake up easily with this without the need for an alarm and it is much more relaxing that being jolted awake!

Cons:
It does gain time (a few mins a month) so you do have to reset the time after a while (which is dead simple to do) and I did have to give it a hard reset once after not using it all summer before it started working again properly (I was emailed instructions on this after submitting an enquiry on the Lumie website).

All in all, it definitely works for me and I love it.
