Lurpak Butter - 2 for £1.00 at Tesco with Coupon

As posted previously, Tesco have 250g packs of Lurpak Butter on a 2 for £2.00 offer.

The new Tesco Price New leaflet has a coupon for £1.00 off when you spend £3.00 on Butter and Spreads.

This leaflet is available in store or you download the coupon by clicking the link in post #2.

The best thing is that the coupon works on the price before the multibuy discount is applied. So buy 2 packs and you can use the £1.00 off coupon = 2 packs for £1.00.

Also you can get 2kgs of Saint Ivel Utterly Butterly for only £2.60p with this coupon

You actually only need to buy 2 tubs to qualify to use the coupon. So it works out at 80p for 2 tubs.

LINK in 2nd post

250 packs wont go very far! :D
#11
So 2 for £2? How much are they normally for 1? I assume the normal price takes it to over £3?

Also, if you buy 6 packs, will it accept 3 vouchers or single transactions is the way to go on the self-checkout?
#12
Usually £1.60 each
#13
But yes I'd like to know whether it's one voucher per customer? One voucher per transaction? Tried reading of the link but couldn't make it out
#14
Thanks. Lurpak is my fave butter.

one per transaction

please change topic

you must spend 3 pounds on butter to get 1 off

so if you buy 4 pack you have to pay 4 pounds
-1 pound with one voucher per transaction

so total you can get 4 pack of butter for 0.75pound each
#17
where can i find these coupons online?
the ones linked above come out blurry

If its £1.60 each, then buying 2 is £3.20 (but they make it £2 for 2) and then you scan the voucher to get it for £1.

I assume that is what happens

The coupon works on the price before the multibuy discount is applied. So buy 2 packs and you've spent £3.20 and thus qualify to use the coupon. It works so there's no need to change the title.

The Chicken Tikka Massala and Pilau rice has a quid off on the voucher. It is currently half price online and instore.

Half Price Was £3.30 Now £1.65.

So for 2 of them it would cost: 1.65 x 2 = 3.30 - 1.00= 2.30 (1.15 each).
#22
Stupid bloody voucher code 'Captcha' thing, you have to solve a puzzle!

No you don't, you just have to type in what it says, as usual. Why word it differently!

If only this was spreadable from the fridge as it's so lovely. Won't buy it as the bread or crackers falls to bits.

They withdrew the Lurpak slighlty salted from my local branch adding extra unsalted (which never seems to seel as much) in its place.

Im sure it will be back.... when the offer expires.

Just been to Tesco's - Self Service Tills
Tried to buy 2 x 250g of Lurpak, wouldn't let me scan voucher till I clicked finish & pay, then asked for staff approval which was dendied because I wasn't spending over £3 to use voucher.

Yes, it's confirmed as working if you buy 2 blocks.

To quote rhosynbach on MSE 'used the £1.00 voucher for 2 lurpak making it 50p each'.

so will the vouchers also work with the easter eggs? eggs are currently better than half price £1, 4 eggs original price would be £10 so if you buy 4 eggs you would get £2.50 off making the eggs 38p each??

No. The Easter Eggs are reduced to £1.00 each, so at no stage would the till register them at a price higher than this.

On the other hand the coupon will work on Easter Eggs that are on multibuy offer.

So for example the Cadbury Easter Caramel Bunnies 40G are 70p each, but on a 3 for £1.00 offer. I just did an online order and put 15 in my basket and when I checked out it let me use the £2.50 off code. So 15 packs for £2.50.

Fantastic! Now I can re-make "that scene" from Last Tango in Paris. Probably best use unsalted though...
