Lurpak Butter - 2 for £1.00 at Tesco with Coupon

As posted previously, Tesco have 250g packs of Lurpak Butter on a 2 for £2.00 offer.

The new Tesco Price New leaflet has a coupon for £1.00 off when you spend £3.00 on Butter and Spreads.

This leaflet is available in store or you download the coupon by clicking the link in post #2.

The best thing is that the coupon works on the price before the multibuy discount is applied. So buy 2 packs and you can use the £1.00 off coupon = 2 packs for £1.00.

Also you can get 2kgs of Saint Ivel Utterly Butterly for only £2.60p with this coupon

UPDATE Clash says Utterly Butterly will be only 80p kg !!! hot

It seems some people are saying it definately works (...quoting MSE and the online process), but others who have actually tried it in store are saying it doesn't work... ...so, which is it?

...quite embarrassing being denied the use of a coupon with a massive queue behind you!

Quality deal, thanks & heat added :)

Assuming you are clicking the link and see the voucher on screen, click on the Download button under the voucher, then enter the verification words and click on Download again. It will then open as a new window with just the voucher in a large format. Move your mouse around on the image and at the bottom of the screen you should see a toolbar appear superimposed over the voucher - it self hides so you can see the pdf. On this toolbar there is a print option.

That's how Google Chrome does it anyway! Can't help you with IE - but it may be the same.

Worked for me - but the CSA had to accept it at the self checkout.

I tried today but was refused, I think these are online only and I couldn't find any leaflets instore.

I got lucky today as the staff member approved the voucher without reading it. I brought two blocks of lurpak butter. I don't think it is a hot deal as it only works if you get lucky with a member of staff like I did today. More likely, you will be refused the voucher if you try it with 2 blocks of butter.
#52
Just worked for me - totalled it up and then it took it off and the CSA helped me. Mint :)
#53
worked for me this afternoon, bought 2 blocks of lurpak, £1 voucher accepted at the end, and tescos 2 for £2 offer applied, so hot from me :)

i took print out and went in store to self check out ,the lady asked her team leader about coupen, again team leader went to manager office with coupen after long time she came back and said its duplicate copy they will not accept.totally totally time waste.

I printed off a coupon in the library, after reading this offer. Went into my local Tesco (Mander Centre) where they had plenty of Lurpak on offer at 2 for £2. Tried to buy 2 at the self service check-out & it wasn't having it, the assistant asked the Supervisor (who checked with the Manager) who said as it was on offer at £2 for 2 the spend had to be over £3.
If you've gotten away with it elsewhere, lucky you. But 4 packs for £3 is the wat to go! In Wolves anyway..lol.

I just tried to use a printed voucher - which wouldn't scan at the self srrvice checkout. Then I wasted 15 minutes of my life as assistant calls manager, then they try and determine if the coupon is valid. One said they're only valid from the magazine, another said I couldn't use it because it was photocopied/printed .... then I was told it was only valid online because it had an online code on it.

As an upshot, I told them they could keep the butter - and all of the other groceries I'd scanned - and left the shop.

It really wasn't worth the hassle for £1 --- and they looked at me as if I was trying to pull a Worrell-Thompson :)

worked fine for me

Can I ask where the coupon came from ???
is it one that tescos updates everyweek ?

if so is there a link please ?
#59
just got back from tesco and they accepted the voucher for the 2 for £2 lurpak butter so they cost £1.
#60
Just to confirm it also worked for me no problem today.

For those who are asking, the coupons come from this official Tesco site.

I agree it's incredibly embarrassing, especially in your local branch, to have a voucher queried and then refused. The online vouchers do state something on the lines of 'photocopies not accepted'. I don't ever get groceries online because I really need to time my shopping to get the maximum yellow sticker reductions, so I don't see printing from the link is a viable option. I'd try with the coupons from the instore leaflet, but my branch never, ever has them.

eventually got them saved to pdf going to print and try in local store 2morro

I've noticed the majority of posters here have had problems availing this deal using home-printed vouchers. I trusted the advice on this site of there being plenty of price drop leaflets in store and decided to try the vouchers in those. I couldn't find them at first, even after asking a member of staff who said she had never heard of these leaflets. I then spotted piles of them at the end of all the checkouts.

Anyway, the deal worked for me. I got the Lurpak at 2 blocks for a pound. I also bought the Utterly Butterly tubs which went through at 2 for 80p.

Great deal OP. (I went to the Haslingden Tesco btw).

According to the terms and conditions no. However if you have a helpful member of staff it's possible.

Shanraja...yes, I used two vouchers in one transaction at the normal checkout....not sure whether that would work at a self scan though...

Yes I used 3 cake vouchers today in same transaction for £10.00 worth of cakes before multi buys.

I just went to the Irlam store and bought 6 packs in 3 different transactions. Self service - nothing questioned by the staff. The Warrington stores never have the leaflets at the front of the stores but Irlam did.

Also there is no Heineken in that store just to save anyone a trip,

Can confirm this definitely works IF you ensure your total spend is at least £3.40! At self scan: Bought 2 butters, 1 melon (£1) & vinegar (60p) total =£3.60 - £1 coupon. Total to pay £2.60! Then 2 x butter, 1x neutrogena face cream (£1.87) total £3.87- £1 coupon. Total to pay £2.87. Did it twice with the neutrogena cream & few more times as several other combinations. All as separate transactions, as only 1 voucher allowed per transaction. Did this after reading ' ' post on the lurpark 4 for £3 deal. Many thanks, that's me & mum stocked up on butter.... Happy mothers day mum!!

Didn't try putting just the 2 butters through, as from reading all previous posts, was evidently a bit of a hit & miss scenario.
