Cold ... impossible to spread unless you don't refrigerate it and have one of them butter dish things

I've ripped more slices of bread frantically trying to spread this stuff and I've still got a half a block left from a similar offer a few weeks ago in ASDA ...

The best tip I read (re freezing butter) is to cut it up into little blocks before freezing, so it's easy to use and spread. Think it was from MSE. Bit of a faff, yes, but it means you can stock up.

Even more easy to use if you grate it before freezing.

simply heat the knife up before spreading....

Or read (book) the great cholesterol con, then come to the realisation that you can slather this on like a hunk of cheese, a great nutrient dense food, in turn helping your brain (also made from saturated fat) woop! a lovly bit of yum scum food that needs to be eaten guilt free and not put on toast in a way that needs spreading (bad choice of food, is the bread, wheat=70% of people r gluten sensitive GMO)

FYI Ancel Keys father of the lipid hypothesis is guilty of many poorly put together research papers, google Ancel keys, go to videos, go to youtube link, big fat lies

hope this helps any margarine heads, lecture done :)

Went on Amazon but there are at least three versions of that book - which one is it? Also, got any links to the videos?

why go to all that hassle? Just get a block out when you run out as it will last the duration of the use by date when you froze it (normally months ahead).

Seems to be a glitch on these it took £1.32 off twice so 2 for 68p. They've taken the 2 for £2 ticket off of the shelf now.

Has no one ever educated you in life this applies to ALL butter not just Lurpak? Or literally is this occasion the one and only time in your life you have had butter instead of spreads?!

Well, just pasting a suggestion from MSE. Might be useful to someone. As it's just me here, it takes me eons to use blocks of butter.

About the heated knife thing, did I dream it or did Warburtons patent/are bringing out a heated knife? Maybe I did.

I presume this was in a Tesco Express? The sums don't add up for normal Tesco stores, as the discount would be £1.20.
