This is true, but aside form being £50 more its less frequent to find a 1080 set at that price and these cheaper TVs often have great picture quality even if the set isnt great in others ways (sound for example).

i bought one of these last year they are in fact rebranded hitachi tvs..the book inside didnt say luxor it had hitachi on it and the warrnty/customer services was a hitachi uk number i called it up too check if it was true too validate my warrenty and customer services confirmed luxor are hitachi owned so all products are validated and fixed by them ...there not the best tvs in the world..the pics were ok when i used my xbox360 but the blacks were more like a muddy brown and the viewing angel are pretty bad in the end i sold it and bought a samsung which are much more better..

in honesty id pay a few pounds more and get a better one theres loads out there and as xmas comes nearer watch prices drop because they know once the vat rise hits people will tighten there purse strings.

We got a 19" Luxor for kids play room and it has been great,if this has a usb port it would be a bargain compared to others on the market regards price.

Our tv plays avi files off of a memory stick through usb port, where as our much dearer (better overall) Samsung will only run photos and music no matter what upgrade/hack available.

If it doesn't then yes you can get alternatives for more but for the money these are very good i.m.o.
