Got one of these last week. Wasn't expecting much but it's done a great job so far.

They also have the more advanced one with auto charging dock and remote for £60

Thanks for that...looks like an equally good deal!

got one of these as a second robot for my Mum a while back. Had a couple of returns but the final one works ok. She also has a roomba and the quality difference is clear, though for light usage shouldn't put anyone off getting this at such a low price.

For a little more others may like to consider quick find 135181, £62.98, this is in my opinion better than the one posted here, as it is more user friendly - the downside is it is a little taller and won't fit under most 3 piece suites.
#6
What is the pick up quality like? my mum currently uses a Dyson and would get her this for a present if it picks up decent
#7
Well, its not going to pick up as well as a Dyson, but the reviews look promising...

" It works great, in a test run it picked up a crayola, crisps and enough dust "wool" to nit a throw rug and that was after the room had had a regular vacuum!!!!"
#8
if you are after quality, get your mum a Roomba

The girl on the video is rather endearing. She's almost convinced me to buy one without even showing it clean anything :)

Oh no! It's already sold out
#10
Looks fun i love a gadget
#11
great all i need now is a robot cook and ironer and i can sling the mrs out
#12
Can highly recommend Rombas - do a much better job than i ever thought - mines called Robbie and his sensors mean he never falls down the stairs ..unlike me

#16
Do these work ok on lamanated flooring?
#17
I've got one of these. Does a decent job, but the novelty soon wears off.

Ooooh - I bought a Karcher -

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=esIQa0UaALs&feature=related

I have admit to being a bit cynical and crossing my finger's I hadn't wasted lots of cash on something that only sort of works. I've been very impressed. Obviously you YPFWYG mine docks, recharges and empties itself in the docking station, so not much fiddling about empting the thing. Quiet mode is just that, copes with cables and changes in floor height.

Don't expect an 'in the corners' clean with these machines, but after an initial thorough manual hoover you'll find you don't need to hoover as often - mine's down from once per week to once per 4-5weeks. If only they did stairs....
#19
Does anyone know how well these things can scale the dividers between rooms?
#20
Can't choose between 135182 and 135181, £62.98, the later one has that UV thing and powered brushes, but is not flat and doesn't have corner brushes ... is that UV feature really works or its just a marketing technique ?
#21
Is now available to pre-order!
#22
not expired as far as I can see - available for delivery tomorrow!
#23
Strange promotional video, put it on a spotless carpet and even then she kept disturbing it's cycle!

Had one for a while now; very good on laminate flooring, struggles a bit on carpet depending on the type. Not much suction but still picks up well with the brushes, the dust tray is always surprisingly full just on one room. Has a habit of getting stuck on anything it can so you have to free it quite a lot. I still use it regularly and it is ideal for people who don't like vacuuming. Battery life: probably enough for 1 room on carpet and maybe 2 or 3 on laminate. Charging time is slow (I think about 8 hours?) so it's actually quite a challenge to get the whole house done! Soon I'll be laminating the entire ground floor and I think it will come into it's own then!

how lazy are people getting ?

for some hoovering is the only exercise they get.........

rather use my Dyson and hoover properly, then use this thing, that u just know is gonna be useless......

Why use dyson then, its cheating ... do it properly, just with rain water and a sponge

Laziness drives all progress, without it you would still be a monkey doing nothing else than sleeping, eating, jumping exercises ...

It gives people time - the most valuable asset these days, I would better spend it with kids or studying something ..

Paid £400 for mine. They are very overpriced, it should be pitched at the £200 - 300 mark. You've posted the cheaper google results, I've seen it for £950! The expensive Roomba is about £250 - but they seem to suffer from mental problems after a while - which is why I went for the Karcher/Siemens one - it one awards apparently and is completely autonomous. It does seem decadent I agree, but I hate cheaps things that don't work properly. I had a time v income justification over this one, saves me about 30-40 mins per week so pays for itself after about 14hrs given my hourly rate, equals 24 weeks of me not having to get out the vax....(that's my argument and I'm sticking to it :whistling:)

I have asked it to be unexpired for you.

Just report the original post (OP) by pressing the red triangle to the left of it, then leave a message asking it to be unexpired.

Yep, but you'd have to pay postage to return it so it might not be worth it.

EDIT - You may be able to just refuse delivery or pretend you're not in. It'll go back to ebuyer without costing you anything. Just make another order now.

Thanks

What do I tell them, that I changed my mind and refuse to take it, is it acceptable ? If I pretend I am not in, they may leave it next door ..

Good point about leaving it next door, refuse the delivery.

Check the distance selling regulations, you have 7 days in which to change your mind, you get a full refund including p&p, but not p&p to send it back to them. I think you'll effectively send it back for free if you refuse delivery.
