I was very disappointed with the hot chicken curry as I found it mild and tasteless. I thought the can had the wrong lable on it and complained instore.
The hot beef curry is hotter but more a strong medium taste.

Picked up a chicken one last week at this price, not tried it yet, is it worth stockpiling any of this stuff? Asda own brand is about this price normally, no?

Edit: Oh :( If it's not hot when it says it is, not really worth bothering with. Getting a bit ticked off with manufacturers (and even indian restaurants) making out their food is "hot" when it bloody isn't.

I agree, hot chicken curry is neither hot nor curry. Good chicken is a mild, bland and tasteless sauce - bloody awful, even at this price. Will have to try the beef variety.

These are worth £1.24 I end up adding madras powder or chopped chillies. The beef one is my fave too. Yummy yum yum! The chilli isn't the best but I have been known to chuck it on top of some tortilla chips...these are often BOGOF in M&S and some jalapenos and cheese. I am soooo lazy when it comes to food!

Fatty fatty bum bum. Stock up, when the country's debt becomes due in a couple of years we won't have a pot to **** in.

Not nice stuff. A lot of the meat is from other countries in these tins.

Check the label you will see the beef is Brazilian....

The chicken curry is quite awful even when other ingredients are added to make the taste better. However, the other tinned meat products are great; especially the chicken in white sauce, irish stew and stewed beef. Try adding some cooked puff pastry sheets to make a reasonable looking pie.

so does it taste nice or not ?
#21
Perfectly edible, pour over a pile of chips.

How bizarre. I was expecting the usual band of snobs to contribute to the discussion.

"IT'S **** IN A CAN!"
"Do not buy this. You will DIE!"
"It's like eating dog food."
"Ew, it's so high in fat!"
"It will give you chronic wind."

Whine, whinge, moan, cry, etc. This is HUKD, not GourmetNet. It makes a nice change to not see (with the exception of PinkMummy...) such behaviour.

It's pretty **** by M&S standards. The mild is tasteless, the hot is... just not nice/curry.

Get the chilli.

It's ok plenty of chicken but that's about it, no way is it hot, add some spices and green chillier and it's getting closer to what it should have been
