I've got the black version of this. It's a re-badged Binatone.

Just used the free delivery code on some wine. Bizarrely M&S codes can be found under "M&S" or "Marks and Spencer" but the two different names haven't been amalgamated so at the moment codes don't appear under both names. The above code was under "M&S" but not "Marks & Spencer". I've added it under the latter and have contacted the webmesters to see if they can amalgamate all Marks codes in the future.

Be wary of using voucher codes if you expect Quidco - better to choose one or the other, if it's not a Quidco approved code, whichever gives you the best deal.

Quidco would run at around 35p with this, and isn't guaranteed of course.

Cheap even if you use it as just an answerphone

Does this need a mains power supply? - reviews are conflicting as one says it needs mains and the other says they purchsed it for when the power is out?

Binatone --- oh no! I've never seen a decent product from them. Was considering it until that point.

Will need a mains supply, but like most "corded" phones will also probably work when there's no power, just the screen and answerphone will be off.

Was particularly looking for the speakerphone part to work without need for power?

Yes this is a good one. I needed to get an ansaphone for mother-in-law as she keeps breaking the settings on the current [complicated cordless] answer machine.

An important one for any purchaser is that this phone is corded back to the main phone socket and will work as a phone in the event of a power cut. The LCD screen and answer machine will not work in a power cut but at least the phone will.

Anyone who relies on cordless phones at home will find they do not work in a power cut. This one will.

This looks like the Binatone Caprice 600 Corded Telephone with Answer Machine in the Argos Catalogue - item number 552/0736 - currently selling at £21.99 - so a saving of £15.

The Free Delivery code of FREEDL88 worked and took £3.50 off the total bill of £10.50 = £7 - just as the HUKD entry says.

Well Done - HEAT and REP added.

Thank you.

Cordless phones - cordless mice - you can never find them when you need them.

Buying this means its attached to something fixed - just like my cordless mouse that is attached to the computer with a piece of string!

I bought through TopCashBack yesterday, Saturday 13 March. 5% or 35p added to my TCB account today - so am getting this phone for £6.65. Great
