M&S DAB, Internet and FM Radio £51.32 @ M&S

The Magicbox Clarus Plus is an internet radio with an excellent reputation for speed and reliability. It uses the Frontier Silicon chipset, which supports FM, DAB and internet radio. You can also stream music files from a computer or hard disk on your network. The same chipset is used in the Pure Evoke Flow (which is buggy and ~ £120) and the Binatone Tranciva IR804 (~ £70 at Argos).

They normally sell for a minimum of ~ £75 if you hunt around for a cheap deal. The reception for DAB and FM is supposed to be particularly good. The internet radio tuner changes channels quickly and rarely stops to refill the buffer. There are two downsides: if you listen to BBC listen again programs, you can't pause and restart, FF or rewind, and it does not show additional metadata for Internet radio broadcasts (for instance the track names for songs that are being played).

Marks and Spencer are selling them for £51.32 including delivery and a 2 year guarantee. This is using a voucher code which is applied automatically to your shopping basket. You can't get this discount if you use the one click shopping method.

You can get another 5% back with if you go via Quidco

This is a discussion on this model of radio

This message outlines the problems with the Pure Evoke Flow.

Ebuyer sell an internet-only radio for £42, . It is rather PINK but uses a Reciva chipset, which is better for accessing BBC listen again programs.
